Are these yorkies? I'm on the hunt for a sibling for Oliver... I was going to wait until I got my own house, but we dog-sat for a friend last weekend, and when she left Oliver cried and cried.. he's so lonely and was sad to see Molly leaving. So, I decided to go ahead and get the 2nd dog now. The search is a little overwhelming! I want to do this right, but am hoping to not have to spend 2k. I've been looking on kijiji a little bit, and found these little guys: YORKIE PUPPIES - Barrie Dogs & Puppies For Sale - Kijiji Barrie Judging by the postal code they are in the same city, which would be nice.. but, are they yorkies? They look like yorkie mixes to me... I'm ok with not getting a pure breed if the fit of the dog is right for my family, but I'm not ok with not knowing what I'm getting! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I truly am overwhelmed and wish there was a YT'er who was breeding closer so I could just know I was getting a puppy from a good person who loves the breed! |

One is blond and white..not purebred at all..but cute for mixed..high price for a mix also. |

I'd be ok with them being mixed breeds, but look at mom! I would assume there will be some health issues down the road, and I am already dealing with a rescue with a luxating patella. Kinda sucks because I would really like to do this NOW as it's something I think Oliver truly needs, but everywhere I look they are mixes or they are letting them go at 8 weeks. Problem at reputable breeders are all the puppies are tiny, I don't truly Oliver (who's 11 pounds) with a 5 pound dog. This could be a looooong process, lol. |

Very cute, but not purebreed yorkie:) |

OH they are adorable!! But look how huge they look in the picture where the woman is holding them, They look like they will be larger dogs. Which might be ok if you know and don't mind how large they will be full grown. |

Larger is actually GOOD for me, as Oliver is 11 pounds. I would go take a look at them, but it really bothers me that they are calling them Yorkie's when they obviously are a mixed breed. I don't feel like giving these people $700. |

Yep mix of something big, my guess is Shih Tzu/yorkie cross and ? |

I really like the 2nd little guy though.. looks a lot like Ollie.. I'm so conflicted! lol. |

That's very true. You could find an older one for less at a shelter or even find a cute mixed baby for much less possibly. I know Lola was probably from a BYBer. So for my next baby I wanted to make sure he came from someone reputable and feel better knowing he is healthy. It felt like forever waiting for Zach but he was SO worth the wait, he is just such a wonderful attention. I say keep learning you will know when you find the right babies! |
