I don't know the answer to your question because I don't know the age of your little guy. Is he not to be neutered for other health reasons or just because he is small? My dogs were only 3 pounds when they were fixed without issue. I'll be interested to see what the others have to say. I hope it all works out for you and your possible new addition.

I am so excited to get her, with all this terrible weather in TN, and us losing power.. I havent made it out there as of yet...The Breeder has been so nice and understanding, with it all...I am hoping by tommorrow our phones will be up and running, and can at least call her...and set a time to go..Keep your fingers crossed for me. I have had others tell me, just to have one out at a time, while female is in heat... I will be taking Shay to vet next week, so we will see, maybe with a new baby in house, he will do Shay sooner......

She can go into season from 6 to 12 months. Mine were both 9 months. Good luck if you decide to get her. Girls can be spayed from 5 months normally. Hugs Shirl x x

| I think they go into heat about 6-12 months of age, but it depends. We got Baylee fixed when she was about 5 months i believe. Good luck on the new furbaby! I am also hoping to get another soon We want a little boy.

I just got Chloe spayed at 10 months old and she had not gone into heat yet. But, at almost a year, your baby probably isnt going to grow any more anyway, so there really isnt a difference if you neuter him now or later.
