| Diva and Davinci both do this. Diva especially now that she's a tad overweight does the "I can do it myself dance" all the time. She will attempt to jump up on the couch or bed or lap and not make it. If you reach for her she backs up away from your reach. She will then attempt to jump repeatedly until a.) she makes it up on her own, or b.) SHE decides that SHE will allow you to help her up. My oldest daughter "talks" for her saying "Wait I can do it", "almost got it", "hold on, I can do it", over and over until we are all dying laughing. It must be a yorkie thing!! |

| My Bilbo does that, too. I think it's because we are so much bigger than they are--imagine how you'd feel if the Jolly Green Giant were trying to pick you up. I just talk to him in a happy voice and scoop him up! |
