Yorkie play time never seems to end My male 2 year old yorkie NEVER gets tired of playing. I am stuck at home in the east coast blizzard, and the yorksers, especially the male sit there and pout until I play either fetch, tug of war, or especially Yorkie hockey. I would really like to get a robot to keep Gatsby busy while I am trying to work, or just am sick of playing his games, which although they are extremely entertaining to him, get a little boring to those whos brains are bigger than a walnut. If I try and give it a break, after the pouting he starts to jump up in place like a Jack Russel. I guess he really owns his human

My guy is almost two and never tires of playing, usually the same games over and over. It reminds me of a child that never tires of hearing the same book over and over.

I envy you. Well, a little anyway. Missy has her moments when she is full of energy but she still seems to nap alot during the day. She is just over 4 months. Wonder if it will change some as she gets older. Some posts have suggested the weasel ball to keep them busy, I am hoping that will get Missy's motor running more! Especially when I am busy and can't play with her. I'm on the eastcoast too but luckily we're far enough north to miss most of the storm. Good luck with the weather but atleast you will be entertained while your stuck inside.

My 2 year old could play all day if I let him. While not on the east coast we have had our share of snow and I will be so glad to have the warmer weather so I can let him outside. Right now he knows that when I am on the computer he has to lay down. But the minute I get up to do something, turn the computer off or even move, he is up and wanting to play. We get up at 4am and I take him out for a short walk, then he gets fed. Then he will come to me with him ball in his mouth looking to pitiful you have to play! Come on Spring!!!!

How do you deal with this? Isabella is six months, almost seven. She is constantly wanting to play to a point where I can't do anything. Seriously, right now she is at me as I type this. How do you deal with this? I play with her by throwing balls across the long hallway, I walk her until I believe she is tired, etc., etc. This is a serious issue that I believe all potential Yorkie owners she be aware of (esp those with children and time constraints) I've tried the bully sticks, the Kong, etc. Once she's done with them, she's at me again. I can't even see leaving these dogs for long periods of time, they are so social!

Maybe this in one of the pro's of having two. They play and occupy each other. I know my rottie helps babysit Missy from time to time.

| Oh do I now what you are saying. The minute my 17 month old is up the ball, or squeak toy or rope bone is in her month and wants to play. When I don't give her any attention, she'll settles down and goes back to sleep right on my foot. But, the minute I move she is there when a toy. I think it is because she sleeps all day while I'm at work and when there is a HUMAN back in the house it is play time.
