Not crazy at all! Mine go to bed at 10:00pm, I say bedtime and they all go to their beds, very cute!:D I know many people with kids who can't accomplish that!;)

Awww that is so cute!! If you are crazy, so am I because Pixel also has a bedtime. During the week I'm in bed by 11:00 and if I stay up a little later to finish a movie or something - he will stare at me from in front of the bedroom door and will sometimes even start to whine. "Come on mommy, it's bedtime and I's tired" LOL He doesn't have access to my bedroom until bedtime, so he can't just go in there on his own and gets impatient waiting on me. He definitely knows what time it is and that it's bedtime! Even when my bedroom door is OPEN he doesn't go in there because he knows he's not allowed to, BUT when I say "night night time" he runs right into the bedroom - he totally knows what that means :) Funny though, he seems to somehow know when it's a weekend too because he'll go in his ex pen in his own bed on those nights until I'm ready to go, since I stay up until the wee hours on the weekend usually :D

Gatsby dose this too we get up at nine every morning and go to bed at about midnight and when he gets tired he will walk up the stairs and bark to let me know it bedtime i put a baby gate up because i did not want him going up the stairs on his own so then he would jump up on the gate to get to the stairs to let me know it was bed time

You're not crazy at all. Hot Rod usually is done about 9:30 - 10 pm. I used to and still do to a point, will turn down the lights and pull the pillow on me and say, night, night to hot rod and he jumps up onto the pillow with his lamb). Now I can say it and they go into the xpen too!

If I don't do this, he will go and lay somewhere and go to sleep on his own. lol

If you are crazy, then I must be too. Diva is my 4 year old yorkie and she has a very set schedule and gets very moody and grouchy is we stay up too much past her bed time. At exactly 9 each night, if we don't start getting ready for bed, Diva will walk to the room, get on the bed,------wait a few minutes-----get off the bed and come give us a very unhappy look. Then she'll repeat, except this time she will follow me around making sure I really see her. The third time, she whines. The fourth time she begins to bark and gets very unhappy with us. Once in bed, she gets comfortable and then you are not allowed to move at all, least you be reprimanded with a low grouchy little growl. LOL

My youngest, Davinci, is much the same, except he is our alarm clock. Mnday thru Friday we are up at 6 am for work, and I rarely need to set a clock because he is awake and waking us with kisses at exactly 6 on the dot. Unfortunately he hasn't gotten the concept of sleeping late on weekends yet, lol.

Yorkies are extremely intelligent dogs. I swear many times I think Diva is more human than dog. My mother in law agrees and tells everyone that Diva is NOT a dog, she's just a very small, very hairy human. LOL

Not crazy at all. Maddie is 2 almost 3 and if the 'stare down' don't work, she will go on to bed without us.:D

She also lets me know if I let her dinner time slip by.:rolleyes:

I put him to bed around 9pm and when my alarm goes off at 5:45 in the morning he starts to cry until i come get him (my bathroom is his bedroom with a baby gate in the doorway) the funny thing is my alarm is on my phone and it's Randy Travis's Forever and Ever Amen....i sleep with music on all night long and he never makes a peep but as soon as he hears that long he starts crying. It's hilarious....my only problem is i need to remember to turn it off on the weekends lol ;)

Zippy sits on the stairs and yips every few minutes when it's bedtime. Has certain toys he wants to sleep with. If you disturb him when he is sleeping he will growl. Has a bed in every room, special drawer for his coats and sweaters, a special drawer for his treats and has more toys than walmart. He is also very vocal when he wants something. He will "talk" to us. Gets louder if we ignore him. I could go on and on.

I have been a house/pupsitter for a couple dozen familes for a few years now (I rarely sleep at my own house anymore!) and I can't tell you how many familes have "bedtimes" in their instruction sheets they leave while they are gone!! I would say 50% of my clients have bedtimes on their instruction sheets, though it's very clear when the other dogs need to go to bed. They'll let you know for sure!!

SO happy to read this thread! We're becoming exhausted with out 16 week old Chloe. She's up in the middle of the night, every night to go potty, and I'm only hoping as she gets older she'll be able to hold it. From the sound of everyone's post, they do. I can't wait to be on some sort of schedule with her! Tell me it gets better....and when?

Bella has a definite nightly routine. 7-8:00 p.m. cuddle and snuggle in her bed in the family room. At 8:00 p.m. she i ready to got to bed in her crate.
We'll say "Night-night time, crate time and she'll wait for us to pick her up and take her to bed. If we don't she'll whine and tell us she's ready. It's funny, because I never knew dogs actually have a routine.
