| Rio was 8 months when we had her spayed. She never had her first heat thank goodness. Spaying before her first heat significantly reduces the risk of associated mammary cancers. We waited until she was 8 months so she would gain a little more weight and lose as many of her baby teeth as she could. She was 2.8 lbs when she was spayed, and she had 4 baby teeth pulled. She is now 11 months old, 3 lbs and healthy as a horse! |
