I missed your post earlier. Thank you so much for your kind works. It really means a lot to me. Congrats on your child getting into college! My oldest daughter wants to be homeschooled too (we homeschooled her for two years and then caved to family pressure to put her in school). So, I will be homeschooling her too. I know it is going to be really tough homeschooling Katie because of the aspergers. I talked to a psychologist yesterday who is going to work with her and she told me that there is a support group of homeschooling children with autism. I may get involved with that. I know I will need support but it is what I know is best (until, if ever, I am able to get her in a developmental school). Thanks again. Your words really touched me and congrats for all that you have done. As a new homeschooling mom, I have a lot of respect and admiration to those who have done it long-term. Thank you! To everyone else - Thank you!!! I appreciate everyone being so nice to me. I hope I find a good home for them soon so they can settle into a new home with a forever home. I appreciate everyone's prayers and thoughts, you have no idea how much it means to me. thank you.

| ![]() Hats off to the OP for keeping both of the puppies best interest in mind. A difficult decision, but I think that you made the right choice ![]()

You have also learned great deal about choosing a puppy and where to buy one. I'm sure there is a great dog in your future and the opportunity will come at the right time Good luck to you.

I've also taken online classes and know they can be more demanding than attending classes in the classroom. I know you're feeling really bad right now, but in my humble opinion, and keep in mind I don't know you or your family, I personally would not keep either dog. The sick one will end up costing you a small fortune (sorry to all the Yorkie lovers out there)...but they are so young, perhaps you can find a Yorkie rescue that will take the two of them and place them together in a home that is perhaps quieter. You have to be willing to give up the money you paid for these dogs and just call it a loss. You may even have to pay a rescue to take the two dogs, (I don't know) but these are living beings and need a good, loving home that perhaps a person that knows Yorkies can provide for BOTH of them. I've even seen Rescues that will say one dog can't go without the other. It's a mistake you can't take back. You can only move forward and get your own life in order, then perhaps at a later date, get a calmer pet. Seriously, Yorkshire Terriers are NOT for everyone. They are high energy! And according to what I'm hearing, need lot of grooming and med care (teeth, etc.).... I adopted a dog years ago from an animal rescue that was six months old. His owners just couldn't keep him. He adjusted wonderfully to my house, my children, etc. He even got a new name. He died at the age of 17, never even 'remembering' his old home. Despite what we all believe, these are still dogs. They are not babies (even though we call them that); they are dogs. They need lots of love, attention, playtime, etc. I even wonder at times how anyone over the age of 60 can keep up with one of these puppies! I love mine and wouldn't give her up for the world, but I'm alone here and have lots of time for training, etc. I have no children, no responsibility other than my little Isabella. Believe me, I'm exhausted. At times, I show her the crate! Please, do what's best for the dog.....find a Yorkie Rescue...they are still young enough where they can be placed in good homes.
