| Umm...silly question. Forgive my lack of knowledge please. I was wondering if you guys could help me. Since being here, I have come to realize that there are different colors of Yorkies. Could anyone tell me what category our little girl would fall under. I got her from a Pet Shop (I know, I know... ) Also, could anyone estimate on about how big she will be full grown? She's 12 weeks old today and I just weighed her: 1lbs 13oz. Thank you so much!!

Donating YT 10K Club Member | All yorkie puppies are black/tan. Some say the earlier the color breaks on their heads...the more likely they will mature to blue/gold. A yorkie's adult coloring can take up to three years to change completely. A guess of her adult weight - double her present weight and add 1 pound.

| ^^ What she said. Jackson had quite a bit of silver in his head and his back is now all silver. He weighed 6lbs at 12 weeks old and doubled it exactly... now at 1 year and a few months, he weighs 12lbs. Jackson at 9 weeks old - pic 1 Jackson at 1 year old - pic 2

When it comes to knowing what size your yorkie is.....throw away all growth charts. Alot depends on their lines and then one can only guesstimate.....The only thing you can depend on with yorkies is that they'll make a liar out of you everytime. By they Petshop pup or not, your girl is darling......good luck

| My Laci had a very golden face very young, this is her at 12 weeks when she came home, she was 2.8 oz and she now around 5 , or 5.5 pds, I always forget to ask because her weight is not important to me, but here she is !! By the way your little one is very cute, Congrats, you must have your hands full with a puppy and a new baby!!
