Donating YT 1000 Club Member | It happened, again!! OK. Some of you know I am a full time pet sitter so I am ALWAYS coming in contact with people with animals. Some wonderful and others, not so great. Well, Friday I was innocently making my morning coffee run to starbucks. Low and behold, a pickup with a sign "FREE". It was raining and about 40 degrees. I park my car and get out, walk towards the truck and there is a large crate with 7 boxer puppies. I couldnt stand it. I took 2 of them and I wanted to take them all but I knew I had to work a few hours and they would be in crate in my back seat. (I always have a way to transport animals) haha Well, I started a thread on facebook and my friends started coming out of the wood work for them. The person that wanted the fawn girl backed out and in the mean time my Dad fell in love with her. So, she will stay in the family. The Yorkies loved them so much. They played so hard!! My Vet says they appear healthy and they got their first shot. I just cant stand things like this!! White girl went to a long time friend. She named her Lola. http://i632.photobucket.com/albums/u...00204-2117.jpg This is Penny, going to my Dad. http://i632.photobucket.com/albums/u...sitter/038.jpg My friend came in for a visit and her 1 year old daughter loved Penny. It was her first encounter with a dog. So cute! And Penny was so sweet! http://i632.photobucket.com/albums/u...sitter/011.jpg |

| OMG they are so cute!! I can't believe somebody was giving them away. I hope the rest of the pups find safe forever homes and wonderul parents too. It pays to carry a crate in the trunk although my hubby took mine away (temporary) when I brought home a baby racoon that had a jar stuck on it's head.

| Awwwww you are so sweet!!! I'm shocked that someone was just dumping them off on anyone that wants them. I wish you lived closer as my friend just lost his boxer in December. Bless you for making a huge difference in this little ones lives!!!!

I know. The man was really nice. BUT irresponsible for letting this happend. He showed me pics of the sire & dam. He said the usual, "I thought we had more time", "this wasnt supposed to happen", "they are getting neutered next week." I tried to educate him as best as I could. I explained that passing them out in a parking lot would not guarantee a good home. I went back an hour and a half later & he was gone. Not sure if he gave them all away or if he kept them. I did give him my business card hoping that he would call me if he needed me in finding them homes. But, I havent heard anything. Atleast I know these 2 will be loved & wont end up in a shelter. | Your exactly right! Seems most people are quick to scoop up a puppy, but when that puppy grows up they turn them into a shelter as the cuteness has worn off. It's so sad but true. Thank you for not letting that happen to these little babies! Great big

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | OMGAWD! That 3rd pic of Penny & your friends little girl is just soooo precious. Glad that at least 2 of those pups got good homes & hurray for you on trying to educate folks you run into. We met a lady with a 3 lb 1 1/2 yo mini chi yesterday & she commented how she can't wait to breed her so she could have cute little puppies everywhere Suffice it to say after a few minute chat she was definitely rethinking her plans for the dog.

| They are so cute. Great that you found three of them good homes. Sounds like you could have gathered up enough friends and family to give them all good homes. Good for you you did a great thing for them

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I have felt guilty cause I have thought, "I shoulda taken them all." But, I was thinking about going to work, not to mention how crazy that would be with 7 boxer puppies. I do hope others who truly care got them and will take good care of them. |

It is so sad to think about the irresponsibility that many have with thier pets. However, I know better than anyone, no one is perfect and people make mistakes (With furkids and skinkids.) I really hope he follows through on what he told you about getting them spayed/neutered.

I also *hope* they went to good homes where they will be taken care of and enjoyed as spayed/neutered family PETS. We can always hope...right?
