| Did she ate something without your knowledge? I mean before she drank the milk you prepared..

Senior Yorkie Talker | No she didn't eat anything before she drank the milk, when she threw up that little bit it was white like milk. I could tell she was freaking out so I picked her up and massaged her throat like I always do if I think she might have got something hung in it. I am just so over paranoid. My husband and her are in the other room, he said shes acting fine, she ran in there with him because I wouldn't leaver her alone, she was shaking and I tried to wrap her up in a blanket, so she jumped down and went in there with daddy

| Could it be the milk went thru her nose? Maybe she drank too fast..it should be ok if this is the case, just like toddlers. I'm sure seniors members will have better suggestions

Me and my husband don't have children yet, so Reese is my child and I just freaked out like an over protective parent. Whew! Im glad it was nothing serious though. I use to not be like this until I lost my lil chi-a-pom last march, and it hurt so bad, so now im like scared of something happening to Reese. That pain is just so overwhelming. Thanks guys for your responses, I appreciate it.

| She shouldn't be given milk, hon. They can't drink it. Kinda like human ice cream. They can't digest it. I'm glad she's ok.

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I give my whelping mom's vanilla ice cream all the time and they do fine. All mine love cheese as a treat. So I don't see where a little milk would hurt. I know it can give some an upset stomach.

| Shilo's favorite food is vanilla ice cream. She doesn't get a ton but a little bit and she's never gotten sick from it, none of my dogs have. But it sounds like the milk went down the wrong pipe. Think about how you feel when it happens to you. I know i kind of feel like barfing if i cough to hard. I'm so glad she's ok tough!

| When Sophie was just about 12 weeks old and didn't eat for several hours I would just moisten her kibble with a little milk to entice her to eat. It did the trick and she was just fine. I only needed to do it a couple of times and didn't continue it after it wasn't needed any longer. She has no allergies so I thought it would be okay.
