| Sophie's is docked between medium and short I suppose you could say. You can only see it when she holds it up. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | What does this mean? Does this include docking? Joey's tail is about three inches, and his tail hair is long. He was born with a broken tail, so I'm not sure if it was docked as short as some of the others, but I love his little fluffy tail.

| Full lenght George's tail is whole, the only bit thats cut is the fur by his bottom, just to help keep him clean

| I know that in Europe their standard reads full tail.....so none are docked. Is it also so in New Zealand?

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Oh, I thought maybe she meant those breeders who cut the whole thing off. I've seen some pictures in a pamphlet printed in England where dogs tails were completely cut off and they looked really mutilated. After that pamphlet was published, they outlawed docking.

The OP pup tail is docked but, I don't think she realized it was not born like that.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Ruby and Reno's tails are both docked to the correct length and they look so happy carrying their short tails with long hair waving back and forth.

| Do yorkies normally have long tails? When I adopted mine she looked like she didn't have a tail but I soon saw it. Her's is 2in long I don't know if she was born like that or not. I hope so.

| No, they are born with long tails. They are docked, or cut off, when the pups are around 2-4 days old I believe.
