Reasonable Price for a Puppy

The OP's question was about a reasonable price for a puppy, not whether to buy from a YT approved breeder! A 3000 dollar dog can be, or can get just as sick as a 600 dollar dog. Any dog can get sick at any time, the price paid does not buffer that possibility one bit. I see horror stories from "good breeders" here on YT quite often. That speaks volumes! You delude yourselves into thinking your 3000 dog is a "better dog". LOL! Get over yourselves, PLEASE!

Why not just answer the OP's question instead of giving a lecture on where to by a puppy?

WOW, you need a little bit more education! Yes dogs do get sick, but not ALL dogs do! I am speaking about liver shunts, luxating patellas. Things we test for before breeding! I am not talking about a case of fleas! That is pure owner default! Tell me where you find a YT member on this site complaining about health issues from a reputable breeders puppy? Again, I said REPUTABLE! I don't delude myself at all, I KNOW! As for the ops question, I was the first to answer! Take a look for yourself!

Most of the $3000 dogs do not come from reputable breeders. The reputable breeders can and do sell for a lot less then the "$3000 teacup puppy-mill" dog.

I think the point people are trying to get at is price does not say everything about the quality of a puppy..... the breeder's practices do. You are not going to find a quality puppy for $300 but you don't have to spend $3000 either.

Please look at my post above. It's not just about the price or you get what you pay for. Look at the breeder, their practices, do they health test? The health test are more then just a routine check-up.

There is so much info on this board, just read the old threads on how to find a good breeder. It's so important. All the best.
