Ok God presented me the perfect way to handle this...I also make wedding cakes and one of my brides gave me this link to her website (brides do that now, they have a whole website about the wedding now), so I saw the story of her and her groom, and sent Mr. Mr. the following email Dear R--, This is the love story from the wedding site of a couple whose cake I will be making in June. You stated the other night that I will have trouble finding a man because of my two little dogs. Seems this brother is taking on a lot more than that. M_______ Highly Favored!-The Bride's story I am from Memphis, TN. I currently reside in Corpus Christi, TX because of my job. I am a Yeoman "Executive Administrative Assistant" for the US Navy. I am the oldest of three children, and my two brothers and I are very close. I have four children (three daughters and a son) ages 16, 9, 7, and 6. In my free time I enjoy singing, dancing, giving back to the community and decorating. Lately, I've been consumed with wedding planning. I have always served as a coordinator for other people, but it is totally different when it is your own wedding and you are trying to plan the perfect day! Even if everything goes wrong, the only thing I really care about is that Robert is going to be there, and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him. Mrs. Robert ----- , II has such a profound ring to it! I love you Robert! I pray that God Bless our union! Sooooooooooooo he called me and said that he hoped he did not offend me by his statement, and he didn't mean it "that way", basically, apologized, and then we made plans as to when we will work out again. I'll keep you posted. |
But all of this begs to ask the question.....can a non- dog, or non-yorkie (you know that kind who can't stand "little dogs", who needs a "man's dog"), make it in this world. I have been smiling for years over stories you guys post about SO's who say NO DOGS, NO MORE Yorkies, etc, who fall in love later. |

he sounds like he's a good person girl - I hope you guys do work things out...just take it one day at a time - you'll know in your heart if things are for real or not ps.....We have a Buffalo soldier memorial going on - I saw on the news they even recreated some of them by their bones - and all I can say is it's about time they got the recognition they deserve ! |

The reason I mentioned his collection is I think that it takes some class and cultural awareness, or a value of things to collect something. It shows that the people who do that search for asethetic beauty,. I hope we can work it out too. |
Oh yeah, He mentioned that the basis of his original statement was whether or not the girls would resent someone else in my life and do the jealousy thing. I told him that the girls have shown that the LOVE men. Prefer them to me as a matter of fact. I also said that my original yorkie always cut up when I got too close to her :daddy:, We used to kiss just to watch her cut up sideways. The girls have been around me and another person, but have not shown that side yet. He mentioned he dated another lady whose little dog growled whenever he got close to her. I guess for him it was just something he said in conversation, but for me, with this being our "second time around", I'm analuzing everything very closely. |
That's analyzing |

That is a FABULOUS picture! Girl you and Maya look GREAT! His comment was stupid and insulting! |
Ya know what? I got a man.... plenty of men... owning 2 little dogs... he is just a guy who cares much for animals. My boyfriend thought he'd never date a girl with dogs. He takes care of and adores my boys sooo much it amuses me! :) It warms my heart too! He's a keeper! |

But... I think he's insecure when it comes to the love you have for your furbabies. In other words...he's JEALOUS! There are men like this and unless you can see him falling in love with your furkids, I would say just be friends and not try to take it to another level. The reason is if he does not adore your furbabies, living with them eventually will drive him to resentment and cause issues in your relationship. Yes, you would fall out over two little beautiful Yorkies. You and your babies deserve better comments and treatment. |
