[QUOTE=YorkieMom6;2980674]Let me just add, because I have been there too .... We women can be such nurturing and care giving individuals that sometimes we allow others to take advantage of us and not treat us well. I have been engulfed by another before and let the negativity and bad stuff be swept under the rug. Yes, we all have issues and 'maybe' this one is having some himself however, if we do not demand respect we will never receive it. Please take this in the context it is intended... I am a VERY strong woman and even I, in my past, was taken in and not treated right. It can happen so quickly when we have so much compassion. Just a consideration is all. I really do wish you the best of luck!![/QUOTI appreciate what you hae said here. |

And as for him ~ after talking such ignorant crap, I wouldn't trust him around my babies anyway. |
Tell him your furbabies decided he doesnt fit in into our family. |
Well, you should have told him that a "real" man wouldn't have any issues with two small dogs. My hubby is a tough NYC Police Officer and we have six and guess where they all sit at night.... Right on his lap. Elaine |

That is so messed up, how could he feel that way about your dogs knowing how much you love them. He is not worth it, there is somebody who will love you and your dogs! That man will be a keeper;) |
I think he is saying that to you , so you are insecure and feel like no matter what your stuck with him. Your not , why would you want to be with anyone who would even say such a mean thing. I happen to know a really nice guy , handsome great job and he has 3 yorkies of his own.. he found a very nice girlfriend. So there are 100's of men out there that like dogs...!!!:thumbup: |
I've read all the posts and I kind of feel like some of the others. He may not have really meant what he said the way it sounded. I would try to open up the communications and see (over time) what the "real" attitude is. From everything else you've said about him, he sounds like a pretty nice guy. On the other hand - I would use the babies as a way to find out about anyone you were looking at getting serious with. To me the biggest way to tell about someone is how they treat their mother and animals - especially animals that are loved by someone he's supposed to love. I wouldn't necessarily give him up right now but pay attention. Actions speak louder than words. |

Hun, you look gorgeous from your picture. You are a strong woman , think back to why you broke up 3 years ago? You say it was his decision to break up. He knows what you feel for him but you have to have the upper hand. If he wants you he has to prove it. Of course his remark would have hurt you especially if you felt things were going well. I would let him sweat, as hard as it may be not to want to contact him, make him come running to you. I was married for 16 years to a bully and finaly had the courage to leave him. I wasn't looking for anybody and was enjoying my single life and then this gorgeous policeman came into my life and we are now married. He is the one who is missing out. You never know what or who is around the corner. I hope it works out for you which ever path you take. Hugs Lorraine x x |
Well now, a man once made that same remark about my having 3 kids [sigh]. I think he was just trying to manipulate me in to cooking him meals for a very, very long time [...'nother sigh...]. Was there any truth to it? I'll never know. [big, big sigh]. -To thine own self be true |
