| puppy find? How safe is it to purchase a yorkie from puppy find? I came across some reasonably priced yorkies and I wanted to see if you all knew how safe it was to purchase a dog from that website. Some are AKC registered. Please help! |

| Cheap dogs can be expensive. A puppy is a very important purchase. Take your time and only buy from someone that you can visit and see how they are around their dogs. All puppies are cute, do not get caught up in the moment. This animal will become one of the family and will be around for many years. I was advised to call on people that show dogs and go to dog shows. I did and ended up will a wonderful smart, cute and healthy puppy. Why people that show dogs? Because they care about the breed and can advice you where to find good sound puppies. I also have a bichon ( white ball of fur) and he is a wonderful dog. But I did not do my homework and purchased the first puppy I saw. Well, we have spend a ton of money in vets bills. He has skin problems and must wear a see thru collar to protect him against himself. He pulls out his hair and will make himself bleed if left to his own devices. Yes we have had him allergy tested, put him on prozec, tried every home remedy, he get regular shots of cortisone (yes I know the dangers/ only thing that helps) and have used every special shampoo made for itchey skin in dogs. Bottom line, I think he was a "puppy mill " dog. A perfect little creature except for a large problem. I would have put him out of his misery a long time ago, but my husband believes that he still is a happy dog. You can not short-cut on price or patience,as you will probably end up paying more in the long run in if you do not do you homework. When I purchased my Yorkie, I took my time and interviewed many people on the phone before I when to see the puppies. All Yorkie are not created equal and I am not talking only about money. One thing I learned by talking to many breeders was that I would never purchase a puppies from pictures on the internet. Yes, all those pictures are so cute, but do not tell you about the breeding habits of the parents or owners. And with all that work you can still get a puppy with problems. My vet said if you do your homework and have patience you can improve your odds, but it's a crap shot. That is where prayer come in. I now have a beautiful, healthy, smart and fun loving 8 months/ 3lbs5ozs little female puppy named Coco. Priscilla |

| Puppy Find review Like anything else on the net you have to use your best judgement. I searched on puppyfind for about three weeks before I made an adoption. The first lady I tried to work with was from Mexico and she offered a little female for $460 shipped. The more we emailed back and forth I was trying to determine her sincerity. Once I asked for a contact number things changed. She wanted a money order to a different city. She tried to hurry up the process. She insisted that she did not have a phone but she did have internet (so go figure). Anyways I decided that the percentages were against me. The reason I pick her is I am from deep south Texas so she was pretty close to where I live. And as always price is a factor. I kept searching and came across a lady by the name of Cheryl from Nebraska. We emailed for about a week before my wife and I decided that Cheryl seemed legit. We exchanged numbers, spoke on the phone many times, and she was a pleasure to work with. "Vinnie" came with all vet records, his AKC registration papers ready to send in, and he was flown safe and sound. All in all it's really on a case by case basis. Ask for contact info. Don't be afraid to request any info that you deem necessary. If you'd like I can provide you with Chreyl's email address. It has been over a month since we adopted Vinnie and Cheryl has still kept in contact just to see how everything is going. I hope this helps you out. |

| thanks for your help thank you so much for your help. I would really appreciate it, if you could give me Cheryl's e-mail address. Did you spend alot of money on your puppy, cause I noticed it is quite pricey when a puppy is shipped. You see, I had a similar situation with someone from Africa, she told me that she would sell me an AKC female for $550 shipped but when i kept communicating with her through e-mail I felt that something just wasn't right. She even said that she was at the airport ready to ship the puppy and that all she needed was for us to send her a moneygram, yet i had never told her that I was going to buy the puppy. |

| that's the way i felt on the first one. you just have to trust your instinct. sometimes we tend to overlook reason when all we are focused on is the price or the puppy. i paid a total of $850 ($650 plus $200 for airfare). Vinnie arrived with vet papers, pet crate, tags, and AKC papers. He flew from Nebraska to Corpus. Vinnie was so shy the first day he came home with us. He weighs 2.6 lbs at 15 weeks. She provided a one year health guarantee as well. Contact her and hopefully you can work something out. | Do Not But From Cheryl Boettger!!!!! Cheryl boettger is not a breeder she is a puppy broker! She brokes for a woman named kathy scott who is a puppy mill!!! I purchased a puppy from her who died 4 days after picking him up from the airport! please be carefull! I payed her 600$ plus for a pom puppy, and she refused to send him out for 5 months!!!! Then after I threatened her she sent me another puppy(not the puppy from ther picture she showed me!), who was much larger then i payed for and then he started vomiting and havin runny stool 2 days after we picked him up from the airport! Then he died 2 days later at about 1 am at an emergency vet! She then refused to talk to me after i told her what happened and made me talk to her husband, she refuses to refund me or take responsiblity for the puppies death.i later found out she is a puppy broker. I am in contact with 3 other ppl who have had problems with her. this woman named susan bought 2 pom puppies from her, and they are both VERY sick, and have almost died several times! and cheryl sent her 2 different dogs from the pictures she showed susan. AND cheryl says the only way she will consider refunding her would be to ship the puppies back to her, which the vet said would kill them! when susan told cheryl this she basically said o well! I fhave filed complaints with the BBB and so has susan and am looking to sue her. DO NOT BUY A PUPPY FROM THIS WOMAn! she comes across as sweet and she makes you trust her, i ahve been through heck and back! I am writing this with tears streaming down my face, please be carefull i don't want anyone else to get hurt by her. I can give you the other peoples contact info if you'd like.

| This woman seems so sweet! i thought so also, but i should of known better. What she is doing to these animals is sick. She is also a liar! she had someone put up a fake review on puppyfind.com bashing susan! You were VERY fortunate to get a helathy baby, and I thank God for that. The stress from her made my ahir fall out at one point.I lost thousands in vet bills, and many nights of sleep.Susan has also lost thousands and is evry distressed over the situation. I talked to her about 2 days ago,and both puppies are still very sick, and they are not sure if they are goign to make it.

| PLEASE DO NOT BUY A PUPPY FROM THIS WOMAN!!!! SHE IS A PUPPY BROKER!!!!! this is another woman who i can't find who also had issues with cheryl boettger! go to www.google.com and type in: cheryl boettger puppies into the tool bar,and hit search. The second site down says: DISCUSS ALL THINGS ABOUT DOGS CATS AND PETS then hit the Cached button at the bottom of the listing there were 2 other peolpe on there before, but they were removed because they put there email address at the bottom(which isn;t allowed) i have spoken to one of them. this is what is says: I purchased a *claimed* to be healthy pomeranian puppy from www.puppyfind.com from Cheryl Boettger from North Platte, Nebraska, otherwise known as CB Poms Kennels. I emailed Cheryl several times concering the health certificate and the patella's being looked at by her vet before she sent the pup. She told me her vet check the pup and cleared it of any problems. Well, I took the pup to my vet (within the 48 hours she said I had due to her contract) and she found a yeast ear infection in both the pup's ears and 4/4grade patella luxation for both of her knees! I told this to Cheryl and she said no refunds only replacement dogs. I told her that I do not want any of her pups she is breeding, because the patella problem is genetic. She is breeding trash and not telling the potential buyers of the genetic problems with her dogs. I hope that you do not allow her to sell on your website or if she currently is remove her at once. I am not happy with what this woman is trying to do and I am trying to stop her, please join me.

| I always feel it's best for you to meet the Breeder, see the puppies, and ask lots of questions. If you find one out of State, I would have someone do the checking for you. There are so many stories about on-line puppy buying, Some good, some bad. It's better to be safe than sorry.

| I post on puppy find. My theory is if only bad breeders post on those sites we are encouraging them to hurt people. By posting on the site people who care and try and breed with love and devotion to the breed can show that there are good breeders and people have a choice. I do have to say that shipping is hard on babies- you never know how they are going to react to the stress of the situation- sometimes no problems other times it is a fiasco. Kathy |
