all mine go in their cage in the back of the car, they seem happier there

Sophie has a Pet Viewer car seat that works great in the front or back seat. It's adjustable so she can see out the window in it. I normally will put her in the back because of the air bag issue. We just returned from an 1840 mile trip and Sophie was totaly relaxed and happy. You can see in my avatar that she she can stand and stretch, too.

I have the Lookout Car Seat for Cerise in beige (matches my car interior) and I keep it in the center of that back seat. She LOVES it!!!

What do you think of the console carriers? We have a pickup truck with bucket seats and Neo likes to lay down on top of the console or sit in my lap. I know we need to provide something safer.

That is a great idea for a pickup truck!

You'll just not be able to get things out of the console...LOl but you can always purchase a floor console and use it for your drinks and things.
