I think all Briards look like giant Yorkies!

When my stepson met my second Yorkie, Sophie, he was 3YO and she was 4YO. When he turned 9YO, he asked me 'When is she going to grow up?' I told him she was already grown up and had been since before he met her. The total look of disbelief on his face was priceless!

I had my first Yorkie, Corey, out for a walk when this little kid came up and asked me 'Is that a lickin' dog or a bitin' dog?'

I said "yes, it is a little dog" so he says "oh, I thought it was a rabbit"

Little kids are totally obsessed with the fact that my boys have "ponytails". They will just go on and on and on about it. This one little girl (she was like 2 years old) must have said "Mommy he has ponytail!" like 15-20 times in 3 minutes.

My 8 month old, 8 lb Yorkie, Teddi always go to Petco with me. I always get funny comments or questions. What kind of dog is that? I reply, Yorkshire Terrier. No, she's too big to be a Yorkie. I keep Teddi in a puppy cut so another time a lady asked what kind of dog and I said a Yorkshire Terrier. She said it can't be, she doesn't look like one. A little later she came looking for me with a Yorkie Calendar that the store sells with pictures of Yorkies with long hair. She said this is what a Yorkie looks like. I just laughed inside. When I got Teddi, her ears were down. One ear came up before the other. A woman said to her friend and loud enough for me to hear, look at that poor dog, it has a lazy ear. I just take it all with a grain of salt and mark it up to the lack of knowledge these people have about Yorkies.

When I posted this picture on facebook of Stella her first day at home (4 months old), one of my friends replied with "I've eaten sandwiches bigger than that dog"..and knowing him, he probably has.

Okay this might get complicated for a minute my bf's mom's fiance's parents came over when we were at his moms and I had Pann over there there first comment was isn't he big for a yorkie? They went on and on about it for like two hours until we left. seriously he was maybe 4 lbs at the time now he's a whole five lbs I wonder what they'd think now!
