| For Those w/Laminate Floor Has anyone had laminate floor, for any length of time, and cleaned it, effectively, w/o marring the surface? I was told, by the installer, only to use a damp mop (w/water)...Yeah right, w/my little angels lol...Anyway, I don't want to ruin it, and I've been using a light solution of vinegar water, once a week, to clean it, but I know vinegar is acid, so I'm a bit concerned...Thanks for any info.... |

| I've had my laminate floors for about 7 years now. I always use swiffer wet jet to clean my floors, never had any problems. Laminate floors are pretty tough.

| I've had mine for 2 years now. The only thing I use is Bono (the installer told me about this and I buy the giant economy size in Costco). I have some scratches from moving furniture but so far it's in good shape.

| I also have laminate in the kitchen. I use the steam mop weekly and get down on my hands and knees once a month with hot water and lysol. Somehow I feel better doing this. Bud is completely trained but I still like using the lysol. Mine's been down about yrs and looks like new. |

Apple and Buzz are doing fine...Apple is still sooooooo bossy, but I guess that's because she's a female, was here first, and is older...As a mom, I wish they would just play nice lol.... Are you sure that product, you use, is for laminate too, and not just hardwoods? Hope your little cutey Milo is doing well...Yorkie kisses from Apple to Milo, and a high five from Buzz to Milo....lol

| I have had my laminate floors for 10 years and I do not give them any "special" care. I use what ever cleaner I have at the time, and they still look great. I am more concerned about my dogs walking on the chemicals right after I mop, so I do prefer just hot water with a little vinegar for that reason alone.

I thought it was horrible too at first so for a while I would add some lemon juice in there to give it a lemony smell! Now I don't mind the vinegar, it smells clean to me now! lol

| I use Bruce Hardwood and Laminate floor cleaner. It was recommended by the installers and I love it!! It smells great and makes it so nice and clean and really shine. We can really tell the difference when we use it. We were actually told not to use water on the laminate flooring by the place where we got the flooring from. I can't remember the reason why though (maybe something to do with the warranty?) but we followed their advice.

| interesting topic. the floors in the house we just bought have had the same flooring since it was built 30 years ago. i wasn't to concerned about putting in new carpet just yet because the kids are just going to continue to ruin it lol The kitchen and bathroom floors are laminate and look awful though, i really want to get them replaced VERY SOON! nice to read what all ya'll use, so that i can keep my new floor, whenever i get it, nice and clean looking.
