| I would read the back of the bag for excat measurements on how much but I feed 1/2 cup a day and I split it into 3 portions (break, lun, dinner)...I feed Innova and that is what was required. Many people free-feed (leave the whole 1/2 cup down) and let their yorkies eat as they please

| how much food It is the hardest thing to learn how much to feed. My ten week old baby was on Eukanuba when I got him. Once home he would hardly eat so I did all the things everyone on here said to do. Cottage cheese, wet puppy food. I have bought all kinds of puppy food and try to feed him at least every three hours. No longer than four because he weighed only nine ounces when I got him. Now he is eating his Eukanuba again but just a few bites at a time and won't eat anything else I give him. I am at my wits end. Oh, I am having to hand feed him. I leave his food down all the time but he acts like he is afraid of the dishes. I have tried two or three different ones. he jumps at it kind of like he thinks it will jump back at him. Thus the hand feeding. I bet you are really enjoying your new baby. It is a humbling experience. tryin g to raise these tiny ones. |

| Maggie is 7 months old and 5 lbs. She gets 1/2 cup dry a day. I just leave it down and she eats it throughout the day. She also gets 1/2 container of Ceasars for breakfast.

| I like to free feed. I put out about 3/4 cup of Natural Balance in the morning and he eats most of it by the late evening. |

| my zoey is 5 pounds and eats nutro for puppies. she get 1/4 C in the morning and the same for dinner. I ususally flavor one meal with the doggie gravey they sell....only one teaspoon to 1/4 C ...it is just for flavor...it says on the bottle it aids in digestion I also buy the 8 pack of champion dog food (the beef noodle) and drain all the sauce off and then rinse it in hot water....I don't like giving her all that gooey sauce. she also enjoys fresh fruit in very small amounts. I never put people food in her dish just her dog food. I had 2 yorkies who would only eat people food and it made it quite difficult in feeding them...even if I was going out to dinner I still had to cook for them. I learned a lesson only dog food in their bowls and treats on the side . makes life alot easier.

| Fagan is 5 lbs and 6 months old. He gets 1/4 cup dry food once in the morning and once at night. We don't free feed during the day and he does fine. We swithched from Eukanuba to Science diet. He seems to like that better. Hope that helps. Last edited by eyedoc; 10-09-2005 at 04:37 PM. Reason: Spelling |

| I would take a half a cup a day, and split it in to meals. Nutro Max chicken, lamb & rice formula is a good one, Lots of fresh water too. I don't think a half a cup is too much, but because hes so young I would call your vet to see what they say. Good Luck!

| I give them each 1/2 cup of dry food ( Chicken Soup) dog food inthe mornings and they dont eat all of it throughout the day. Dinner time I give them about 2 tbsp of Ceasars mixed in with 1 tbsp of dry food. Cookie only eats about 1 tbsp and leaves the rest. Princess Mimi eats all of it! Cookie is the pickiest eater and I usually have to add a little chicken breast or lowfat shredded cheese. Genie |
