No Longer a Member | weird phone call today I received a strange phone call today A lady who I don't know asked me where I got my yorkie? I thought she was someone else After I told her...then I stopped and asked who are you why are you asking me things about my yorkie? She said well she lost her yorkie on hawloween nite her kid open the door and their yorkie followed him out the door she said she drove all over for 3 hours looking for her yorkie with no luck. She says she has an add in the paper for a large reward for her yorkie. She said she is calling around to find out if someone has her yorkie And she said someone told her I have a yorkie and she is questioning me where I got mine if it was stolen, I was astonished! I told her I got my yorkie when she was a puppy way before hawloween. I have papers on my yorkie, the breeder,my kids and my groomer knows me and I have pictures for proof! I felt really hurt that someone who she claims knows me and gave her my phone number for her to search to see if I got my yorkie from the yorkie theft! She said I am not accusing you but you could of got him from a person who stole her yorkie I said I don't think so! As I got my yorkie way before hawloween and from a qualified breeder She refused to tell me who the person was that told her I have a yorkie So I refused to tell her anymore I asked where she got her yorkie from she said it was shipped to her I said your the first person I ever heard that did that. I think it is her own fault for not watching her dog and I think she is way out of content calling everyone up that owns a yorkie questioning them I could hear someone tell her what to ask me over the phone about my yorkie Later I called up my groomer and warned her about a weird call that might be coming her way, she thanked me for the warning and said there are lots of crazies out there. I didn't want to argue with her but I had to end the call Should I have just hung up on her? |

| I think if someone called me that lost their yorkie I would be more then happy to meet them at my vets office to prove that my yorkie is mine to set their mind at ease... I would be heartbroken if my yorkie was lost and if I thought someone had him/her I would do everything to try to find it. It is not strange for someone to have their dog shipped to them. Mine was flown to me... and maybe others do this as well. I am not taking the persons side that called you but you might be making them more curious of you if you are blowing off their questions and rushing them off the phone. I too would be hurt if someone thought I had their dog but would be more then happyto set their mind at ease. And, Kudos to her to for not giving up looking after all this time. |

| If it were me, I would not have given her too much info which it sounds like you didn't. If she got my # from someone who knows me then I bet she could get my last name. I would have given her the name of my breeder and told her to ask the breeder for herself. In her defense, she's probably desperate and resorting to just about anything right now. These little guys are so fast and they can run out the door if someone isn't constantly watching them which for most of us is impossible.

| She is probably just freaking out if her baby is missing, If it were my puppy and I even thought for a moment someone had her I'd call , knock on the door, park out front , what ever it took...she is doing what ever she has to do to find her missing dog.

| I agree.. desperate times call for desperate measures. If my baby was lost I would do ANYTHING I could to get him back.

| We had a simular thing happen to my SIL. I took my two over to her house for a weekend, a few days later she was stoped on the street of her subdivision and asked where she got the dogs from. She told them they were mine and left. A few hours later a different person from the same house came to her house saying she had there dog. She had to call the police to get them to leave her alone. The thing is that dog had been let run loose for weeks. Some people just do not need to have dogs at all!!
