| how do you do it???? i have 4 kids and regardless of what time of the year it is they want to be outside when we are, so it's fall now and the leaves are falling and we are out trying to get things done in the yard before winter gets here and they have to be right there with us so everytime they come in i have to follow them around with the broom to sweep up all the leaves they have drug in on their coats sometimes it's whole leaves and then there are all the little pieces that keep falling out through out the day ,there in every room that they are allowed to go in and even in my bed i have to brush them off the bed before i can get into it. seems like that is all i get done is sweeping the floor. then there is winter coming and it will be snowballs in their fur and it's grass in the summer time. i cant leave them inside while we are out ( i could but i wouldnt do that to them) ,we have some chipmuncks that have burrowed in around the house and they are constantly in the flower beds looking for them and then they come out with leaves all over them. i would have to brush them everytime they came in and thats impossible to do also. worse then when my human kids were little i would never have allowed them to track in as much as what these guys do lol. so how do you keep up with it ? lynne

| I know exactly what you mean. I am a clean aholic. My husband laughts at me all the time, because regardless what time of the year when we are done outside they come in the sun room/sun porch and I brush them before they go into the house. May sound crazy, but I don't even let people were their shoes in my house.

| guess i will have to have hubby build me one of them there sun rooms lol. no really i have been tryng to get him to enclose the front porch so they would have someplace to stay till i could clean them up before they came into the house. guess i will have to hint around alittle more.

| I guess we are all in the same boat! lol I tend to keep my girls' hair shorter, tho...at least not dragging on the ground. And in the summer, I totally shave them, except for their heads, and I just cut that hair shorter. We have foxtails really bad in the spring and summer, and they love to get into their hair. I do more for them then I ever did for my kids or grandkids....hehehe |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I JUST got thru saying that about all the leaves in my den...they track in more than my kids did that's for sure - I keep a broom right outside my door and when the girls see me ready to sweep leaves ....IT'S PLAYTIME ...they love chasing the broom and when I finally get the leaves back outside - they just track in new ones. and YES - the long hair is the culprit. |
