Tucker definitely knows his name. He was just asleep and I was talking to my dad and I said Tucker (not to him, I was talking about him) and he looked at me like "What do you want?" LOL My cat also knows her name. She chooses to ignore me a lot of the time, but when I come home or whatever if she doesn't notice me, as soon as I say "Livvy" she comes running over! :) and when I say "Olivia" she runs the other way cause she knows she's in trouble. :p |
All 4 of mine know their name and will generally come when called. Unless they decide to ignore me, which happens when a squirel is around!!:D |
I think Ella knows her name. My boyfriend and i have fussed over this before. We'll call her other names that aren't her name and she won't come. I do though think it depends on if you started right off that bat calling them by their forever name. =] |
Peek a Boo looks into my eyes to see what's going on. He'll run back and forth to get my attention, then when he catches me looking at him, he shows me what he wants by running in that direction. If I am in a mood, he'll hide under the bed. Usually calling here kitty kitty gets him back out! He's very perceptive of my mood, so I try to be happy most of the time, to prevent him from hiding. |
Mine knows their names and this might sound crazy but they have names for when they are good and names for when I am serious and they should listen, like Chadey, when she is good and we are just talking she is Chadey and DAYDA!! when she is naughty and she knows the difference...............Saydie becomes DIDEEN!! Please do not ask me where I come up with their naughty names, they just popped out and stuck. :D |
All of our dogs resond to their names. All of them respond to their nicknames too. Maybe you should try lying! My brother would take me & Jinx walking at the beach during the summer. When he wouldn't show up she would get a little depressed. Then he told her he would come the following day & take her walking at the beach. He never showed up. The next 3 to 4 times he came over to visit she completely ignored him! She wouldn't even resond when he took her favorite toys. She only forgave him when we went back to the beach. LOL.:cool: |
Sandy knows his name, he'll come when called. :D He has a bunch of nicknames but he'll only come if I call him 'Sandy'. |
