This is one of the reasons I detest most athletes. They consider themselves above the law and can do whatever they please as well as present themselves as role models to children. Unbelievable! Typical is all I can say, and again, they make me sick.

I detest it when kids look up to celebs as role models without any guidance from their parents and then the parents turn around and blame the celebs for not exhibiting the type of moral fiber than they deem suitable.

I cant beleive they fired Hank Baskett who is a doll and a animal lover, a humanitarian for that filthy scumbag, Mike Vick.

For what it's worth, the Eagles were likely going to get rid of Baskett with or without Vick being signed. He was only playing with them on a 1 yr free agent contract (which indicates they weren't planning to keep him around long to begin with). Also, they took 2 wide receivers in the draft, giving them 7 on the roster, renegotiated Reggie Brown's salary which put them close to the cap, signed Garcia back as quarterback too the day before and had been in the process of trying to trade Baskett already.

They released him when they ran out of time and options to keep from losing Vick (although I can't imagine why anyone would want him in any case). He was out the door either way.

Just like with any other profession, companies keep the people who perform the best, not who is necessarily who has better morals and is the better humanitarian.
