| Boy or girl? I just got hired on permanently at my current job (have been working contracts for a year)... and my first large purchase now that I am financially secure is going to be a friend for Oliver! He desperately needs another dog in his life to show him that life isn't as scary as he thinks it is. He did SO well when we visited my brother, made huge strides (even sat on my dads lap, but when at home is terrified of him and runs and barks!) when he was around their dogs. Oliver LOVES dogs, all dogs, is not territorial at all, just wants to share toys and play. But I've heard horror stories when adding a 2nd yorkie in the mix. Should I get a girl to keep this risk of territorial issues at a minimum? I also plan to buy a house within the next year or two at most - should I wait until I move and get settled? I know we moved a lot with our first dog and he settled in fine. Oliver; however, has changed a lot during this last move from his foster family to me, so I worry about him. I'm sure he'll be ok as long as he's with me. Just not sure how good an idea it is to get a new pup and then uproot it. I am definitely in a hurry to get Oliver a buddy, I really feel he needs it and is a dog who really should have another dog in the home. All opinions are greatly welcomed!

| Go ahead and get him a friend. This is not professional advice just my thinking that it would be nice to get a lil girl. They usually get along very well.
