Thank god this wasn't a Yorkie. A few nights ago someone shot a horse seven times with a bow and arrow about 30 miles south of my hometown. By the grace of God the horse didn't die and should be O.K barring an infection.I just don't understand how someone could do this to a defensless animal.

Wow... how horrible. I cannot imagine the pain that horse went through

I hope that the people who did it are punished severely!

Frikkin sicko`s, that pisses me off! Some people should be locked up for life because they are horrible cruel individuals

I am glad the poor horse is going to be okay, but I can only imagine the pain he went through

We had a sreies of similar attacks in the UK a few years ago, some of the horses were killed or so badly injured the had to be put down. Last year the horse belonging to a guy who worked at the same place as me was attacked, her injuries were horrific. The culprits? Teenage thugs who'd been drinking and decided to have a bit of 'fun', Uggggg.

Isn't it always thugs. My hubby is a policeman and he gets so frustrated that there is so much paperwork to do that real policing just can't be done anynore.

You know most serial killers start out harming animals...if someone can be so cruel to an animal - what's to stop them from lashing out at humans??

Poor horses
Anyone convicted of animal cruelty should be given much, much longer and harder sentences than they are getting. I think they get off way too easy after hurting and killing defenseless animal.

That's horrible! I worry about our horses during hunting season, but obviously this was no hunting accident. Someone being cruel and stupid!!!

Wow I'd love to get my hands on who did this I have a bow and arrow downstairs somewhere............need some target practice.......see how they'd like it
