| Puppy jumping the gate!! We put our babies in the laundry room when we leave, which leads out to the garage. So we put a gate up that leads to the kitchen and leave out the garage door. Well our garage door was recently broken for about 5 days so we had to leave out the front door...meaning we leave from the gate side of the laundry room. This, I believe, is what has prompted Roxy to jump over the gate...starting yesterday. This was with a 24" baby type gate that she could get her feet up in. So I went and bought a metal gate that is 30" tall and only has vertical bars...she still jumped over!!!! I don't want her to hurt herself when jumping, plus I don't trust her loose in the house yet. Hopefully now that our garage door is fixed, she won't want to jump over the gate to see where we are...but has anyone else had a similar problem? How did you fix it? |

| I used the plastic baby gate with Sassi & she could jump over it so I had to buy a 2nd one & actually put it on top of the first one so it was about 4 feet high and that kept her in place. Boy can they jump!

I Love My Babies Donating Member | Wow. Mine don't jump like that.. but they can be very determined. Good luck. The double gate sounds like it would work.

| Mine climb and jump when they get to the top of the bed, chair, gate etc. Up and over they go. I can see me having to get a higher gate or using 2, I use a crate still alot if I am going to be gone up to 2-3 hours but no more then that. |

| Mine climbed up the gate when she was a puppy. Now the gate is one more storage object. |

| Amazing how determined they can be when they want something. Zoie will climb up over the x pen but she hasn't ever had the gate used for her. I figure she would climb it also. I think that 2 gate thing might work. But then again depends on your little one and how bad she wants to see where you are.

| I know...I never even really thought about it because Malibu has NEVER even tried! She was out roaming the house and he was still in the laundry room like "I am not even getting involved in that!" He knows better. I am hoping now that we will be leaving out the garage door, she won't do it anymore, but if she does, I will try the double gate. Malibu is fine in the house, but I don't trust her yet! |

| My little boy is crazy... I call him Houdini because it seems that he can get out of, around, or over anything and he is only 2.5 lbs!

| Cooper jumped the Ex-pen then we put a lid on it and he could push the lid open and climb out. For a while we had to bungee the top to the Ex-pen. But now we watch them close and crate them when we leave if we don't take him with us. Which we aren't right now because he gets so car sick.. They do make tops for the Ex-Pens though, that did save us for the winter. Good luck Hugs Cher & Cooper |

Missing Yoshi Everyday! Donating Member | if you have a climber i would not recommend a higher xpen or gate...because if they would jump at 2 feet then they would jump at 4 feet...and being up that high they can really break something...
