| ![]() Only one of mine are trained to go outside. Thanks goodness for pee pads with the other two. She has been either holding it extra long and go every 15 minutes because I think hse goes outside and doesn't finish becuase the wind kicks up and almost knocks her over. I've tried to get her to use the pee pads too but she's only done this a couple times. I'm worried she;s going to give herself a UTI ![]() Have any of you tried that potty patch? I've been going back and forth on trying it. I just don;t want to waste my money. I almost bought one the other day at PetCo but I noticed that the box appeared to have been resealed so that gave me a bad feeling. I was wondering if someone tried, realized it didn't helf and returned it. It would sure be nice to have an alternative for those outside pottiers. Someone else had sent me a link a few weeks ago for another alternative potty patch but it was way too pricey for me....although if i knew it would work i might acutally fork out the $. Its that what if it doesn't that holds me back.

| ![]() I have a larger Yorkie who loves the outdoor's. It was 16 the other day with wind chills that made my face hurt and eyeballs burn and Buddy was taking his time sniffing for the right place to potty! He loves it outdoors, cold or hot. He knows when he goes we are headed back home and he holds it till the last minute everytime. ![]() the poop forever because he knows until he goes he's stays outdoors. He's killing me in this cold! If it's raining he'll pee and poop in a minute but otherwise he'll hold out until the last minute. |

| ![]() My little Cordy hates the cold... he won't go outside, but when he comes in, he'll go behind Daddy's chair and do both businesses..... *sigh* what's a Mom to do for a little 3 pound cold fella?

| ![]() Zoey is the same way. Zoey would rather go outside when its cold and snowing then when its warmer and sunny out. Makes no sense to m what so ever. She will climb on the back of the couch and look at the window adn actually bark at the snow falling its soo cute <3

| ![]() We are in KC and will be lucky if we see highs in the teens. GL loves the snow and will play in it even though it is over his back! He will not wear any clothing at all. This morning I think it was 0 or so for our morning outing. His back paw got so cold he started limping. I picked him up to warm it and he was so mad and it hurt that he was trying to bite me. The city will not plow because it is too cold and will not put any sand or salt so we walk on snow covered ice. He will stay as long as I let him. |

| ![]() Remy does not like the cold, but he seems to be doing OK. With his sweater and coat he seems fairly warm. I've also changed our walks to our sheltered parking garage - we go up all 6 ramps every morning. It is an outside garage, but enclosed so it is a bit warmer and sheltered from the wind. Minimal traffic so we can easily get through in about 15 minutes, usually don't even encounter any cars. As a result, he is getting a little "up hill" exercise everyday and can potty without the wind blowing him over LOL |

| ![]() It was -4.5 first thing this morning and I certainly didn't want to be in the garden keeping any eye on Alfie but he wont use the pads, he just wants to eat them. He was very good this morning though. He did his pee pee at 6.30am and then went back in his crate and fell asleep for another 45 mins so I got another 45mins too. ![]() |

YT 500 Club Member | ![]() Well the snow and frost hasn't lifted from here for the last 2 days, but today my two decided it was a good idea to have an attack of the zoomies outside. Everytime I got them in Rosie would ask to go out, cant refuse as I'm trying to get her to ask to go potty outside, but no she just wanted to tare around. |

| ![]() I remember your post before the blizzard that Buddy did not get the memo that Yorkies aren't supposed to like cold or snow. Maximo goes for his hour-long walk every morning, even when the temperature is barely 20 degrees. I can't persuade him to wait until the sun warms things up to a balmy 30. Max has a full coat, so he prefers cooler weather. Maybe I should shave him down. ![]() |

We ordered the potty patch from Harriet Carter for about $40. We ordered with a friend and I can not recall what the shipping was. As Seen on TV Potty Patch® Mat - The Indoor Dog Potty - A Harriet Carter Featured Product If you decide to try it - I would not waste my money on the replacement liners because they are just the paper piddle pads and they can be purchased for a better price. I can not say if this really works or not. We can not try it right now because everytime we did, Zoey wanted to eat the stray grass strands. These could be deadly in my opinion - if they got wrapped up in her intestine. We still have it and plan to give it a try when she is older for any middle of the nite needs.
