| Growing spurt My Penny is 4 months now. She is 5 lbs. Going to be a biggy. Can anyone tell us at what age is the growing spurt? Will she slow down now? We don't mind her being bigger but hoping 7 or 8 lbs is the tops. It is hard to believe she is even growing as she is a light eater. Thanks in advance. |

| Depends on parents, although even smaller parents can give a big dog. My big yorkie was 5 lbs at 4 months and is now 13 lbs at one year. So I hope your stop growing but it depends. When they are bigger yorkies, they tend to grow out quicker then stop. My quit growing by 8-9 months in lbs and was grown in height by 6 months. |

| Jackson was pretty much full grown at 7 months. He weighed 5lbs when I got him at 9 weeks old! He's now 12lbs at a little over 1 year old. The typical 'rule of thumb' is to double the 12 week weight and Jackson followed that exactly. He weighed 6lbs at 12 weeks old.
