| Don't like the rain! Does anyone else's baby not like to go out in the rain? Bailey went out this morning, peed but then decided to poop on the porch because it was raining! I caught him and yelled, pointed to the yard and he went to the yard with his head down! The little brat!!! |

| Princess won't go out in the rain. I think it scares her. If it rains hard she runs to the bed. Mandy & Poncho run out and try to catch the rain drops, it's so cute. Princess must think they are nuts!!!

| none of my dogs like the rain, but they LOVE the snow... usually if it is raining, they run fast to their kennel to go potty... but the puppy, she is not having anything to do with it and goes in the house on the pee pad.. (well most of the time) |

| Mine refused to step out of the door if it is raining. That is why they are pad trained also. It rains plenty here!

| Gracie acts like she is mortally offended that we had the nerve to take her out in the rain and Sammie couldn't care less if it is raining. He used to just sit in the rain and cry but now that he is a big boy he just does what he has to do and comes inside afterward.

| Yep, my baby did the same. She pooped on the floor after refusing to go out in the rain. I guess I can't be too mad. I would hate to have to poop in the rain too. |

| Careful, Yorkies hate the rain for a good reason...they aren't like other dogs that have an undercoat. These little guys get cold really, really fast because they are so tiny and have only hair (no fur) to cover them. Would you send a newborn baby out into the rain? Yorkie have about as delicate a sense of temperature. They can get hypothermia and catch a nasty cold. Whats worse is that a cold in this breed can lead to a collapsed trachea. I live in Seattle and have an out-door potty trained Yorkie...He's larger than most at an athletic 18 lbs, but I still have to take precautions: I put him in a rain coat on rainy days, take an umbrella for our "pee breaks", and am working on setting up a covered "potty zone" in our new yard for the upcoming rainy season. I'm thinking that either an extended awning in the back, or a little yard-umbrella-thingy in the front could do the trick. |
