Jack will be 7 months old in 3 days and he is skinny too. The vet didn't seem too worried though because he is still gaining weight - he's up to a whopping 4.4 pounds. When we brought him home at 12 weeks, he weighed 1.25 pounds. I'm a happy momma - I wanted him to get a bit bigger but I can still feel his ribs and his bones.

I ask my vet every time Im there "Is she too skinny? should I try to fatten her up? I feel her bones! are you sure she isnt too skinny!?"

My vet said "she is perfect. You said you leave the food out for her, she is eating what is right for her. I think people are just used to fat dogs. IF you want to add some winter weight to her you can put some egg in her food but I asure you she is absolutly fine"

well Zoey missed out on the reindeer club....im not sure exactly how long her legs are but i know hers are short. she has short legs and a plumpy belly hahah. and i dont think we are anything alike we are totally the opposite. I'm 6 foot. but we do make one cute couple <3

When he was just 1 pound or so, I couldnt even believe it, he's so tinyyyyy.

Well, he's 4.5 pound now, but still no fat... What weighs so much, bones?

It's ok~ Actually there is less hassle if your cutie is not a model body type. Duncan wear a full length jumpsuit like a t shrit jumpsuit..

I hard boil them and take out the yolk. Some people scramble them too, but then the yolk gets mixed in and you have to use oil or cooking spray.

Geez....all, now you got me thinking....Zhoie is skinny too! I feel bones, ribs, shoulder bones, hip bones and so on. She is 9 " tall, 10 " from shoulder to tail and weighs 4.5. I boil her an egg and she gets a 1/2 about once and week or so. I leave the yolk in or she wouldn't eat it. Her breeder told me she gave it to them and how much my girl loves it....yeap, it's true. She starts whinning as soon as I crack the egg shell, and then dances in circles all the way to the sunroom where she eats. It's the only food that she is lip smackin over! LOL

This is the same thing my vet tells me. I can feel every bone in Buster's body. But for the most part he seems to eat what he wants. The vet said his weight is fine and not to try to fatten him up. Buster is taller than my Maggie, she weighs about 1.5 pounds more, but it looks like a lot more. Buster has really long legs and Maggie is short. Buster looks funny when he is first groomed as his long, skinny logs are very noticable. But, he's sooooo cute.

YES!!! Last halloween we got Uni the Elvis jumpsuit from petco, in XS her size. They were shorts on her! We saw the doggie model wearing it and they were floor length bellbottoms on him!!!
