OMG furious!!!! So I have not been on here for close to a week becauseeee......... On Wednesday My BF and I went to Target to pick up some stuff for our holiday party and sitting outside was this woman selling puppies! It was awful. She was selling the for $75.00..... SHE WAS FEEDING THEM DORITOS! It made me FREAKING SICK! I was so upset. Soooo when I got there she had one puppy left, so I bought her of course. There was no way I could leave that poor little thing there eating chips and going home with the first person that would fork up $75.00. So we took the sweet little furball to the vet right away. The woman told me she was 8 weeks and the vet said that she was 5 weeks at the very most. (Which I figured.... she is SO small!) But to my surprise she is VERY healthy! She is a great eater and she is doing very well. She keeps trying to nurse from my Lucy.... it is so sad. She is WAY to young to be away from her mommy. I have had about 7 hours of sleep in the last 4 nights.... she cries ALL night- it breaks my heart. She is a maltese/Chihuahua mix and she is a freaking sweetheart! I love her so much. My boyfriend said I could keep her because the day after we brought her home I could not stop bursting into tears because I was so sad to give her a new home.... the thought of not seeing her again broke my heart- its crazy how attached you get in just 24 hours.... especially when the puppy is so helpless and needs constant love! But I bought her to find her a home and that is exactly what I have done. She is going to be adopted by my agent and his boyfriend on Dec. 30. (they are gone for the holidays) I trust him more than anything and I know that she is going to an amazing home where she is going to be loved and spoiled to death! Plus, I will get to see her whenever I want! I just can't believe the cruelty in this world...... selling puppies on the street for Christmas cash. They are so tiny and helpless and just want to be loved......I wish I could save them all :) |
pics! 4 Attachment(s) Some pictures of the little furball! so presh! |
I admire you for doing that wonderful act of love for a helpless puppy!! Thank You so much!! Sandy |

Truly it was my pleasure... it's the little things that make a difference. One puppy with a good home is one less abused or in a shelter! |
What you did was amazing; she is precious! Christmas blessings to you! |
This nearly made me cry, how can people treat animals this way, selling them on the street! I just can't comprehend it. Thank God there are wonderful caring people in this world like yourself! I am so glad you were able to take one of the puppies home! She is beautiful too! |
What a dollbaby!!!! Doesn't look like your yorkie in the background likes the new guy getting the good food!! haha That's really a very kind thing you did, but seems you are a very kind, caring type person. Just wanted to say kudo's to you!!!! Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!! Sharon, Joey, Cabella and the six puppies |
God Bless You - What you did was wonderful and full of love. I hope you and yours have a Wonderful Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year! |
Good for you... I would have done the same thing! She is just beautiful though... good to hear that she is healthy despite what I'm sure were some aweful first weeks of life! Merry Christmas! |
That is just horrible, I'm glad you saved this baby!! |
Oh my gosh! So young! But so so precious! You are an amazing person for taking this little one in and finding her a loving home! :heart to |
Thank you so much for all of your kind words. If you guys would have seen her, you would have done the same thing! She is a good puppy..... My little Lucy actually really likes her..... although the puppy keeps trying to nurse from her which is so sad! Lucy is being very nurturing and gentle with her. Hendrix however is a little more standoffish. He is like that with all dogs.... he watched form a distance and if the pup comes near she gets an earfull haha. |
THis is a very kind thing you have done. God bless you. I just love the pictures, especially the last one. |
You are incredible! and what cute puppy! so young though :( Glad you found him/her a new loving home!!! Bless your heart!! |
SOOOOO young. She misses her mommy so much. It is so sad. Thankfully she is eating and drinking great, so there is no concern there. The only thing is her sleeping.... well, MY sleeping. She doesn't sleep for more than an hour or two at a time, and she cries so bad when she wakes up, so it is impossible for me to get any sleep. My boyfriend has been helping a little, but boys are just not as patient and nurturing as us ladies..... I am DELIRIOUS I am just so exhausted. I have not hardly left the house since we brought her home because I am too tired to do anything. She literally cries ALL night. EVern when I hold her she just weeps. It breaks my heart. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have tried putting the petstages cuddle buddy in her crate. It is the one that you warm up in the microwave. It helped a little, but not much. I am so tired! |
Aw, the puppy is so cute. I am glad you were able to rescue the puppy and give it a loving home. |
She's such a baby...I especially love the 3rd pic! :D I'm very happy you found someone (who's trustworthy) to take care of her, yayyyy! :D |
puppy crying at night Sometimes if you put a small clock wrapped in a towel or blanket, they think it's mama's heart beat. Belle cried like that when I first got her. Is she sleeping in a crate? I put a blanket over Belle's crate and had the crate next to my bed. It kind of worked like a parrot, cover them up and no noise from them. She is so tiny, God bless you for rescuing her from who knows what. |

She is sleeping in a crate. Our puppies sleep with us, but she is SOOOO tiny that I am scared to sleep with her in bed. And her new daddy wants to crate train her, so I don't want her to get used to sleeping with us because then they will have a hard time changing her routine. Maybe I will try buying a clock tomorrow because I seriously need some sleep. We have her crate in the hallway right outside our bedroom door. She makes a lot of little noises in her sleep (so cute, but again--- keeps me from sleeping) so we cannot have the crate in the bedroom.... but when she wakes up I can still hear her. Maybe I will try covering it over tonight and see if that makes any difference. Thank you for the suggestion :) |
Oh Sarah, so good of you to save this baby. I too use the blanket method. Uni is CRAZY! When she knows we are going to the park (we have to say P-A-R-K) we have to cover her with a hoodie or something to get her to shut it! No matter how worked up she is, if she has something over her, she knows it's quite time. I wanna know, what did you say to the woman selling the pups? Did you just get her? Or did you say something? If it were me I don't know WHAT I would've done! I've seen people selling pitbull pups in downtown LA (obviously too young too!) I just ignore them, so sad. They've been selling mini bunnies lately too. :( :( :( |

I wanted to call the police because it is illegal to sell puppies like that..... but it is also illegal to buy them my boyfriend said.... so I didn't. Whatever.... I feel like I did the right thing. |
OMG bless her and bless you for saving her!! Poor baby:( She is sooo cute! I'm glad u already found her a home. Well from my experiences..atleast seeing babies taken away from mama too early..it effects them later on in life. They don't get the right socialization they need so when they get older they need help with that. Like my bf...his sister got a dog, also very young like yours(he used to cry ALL the time for no reason) and now he has problems..he is very submissive and pees when ppl pet him..He is VERY attached to her dad and no one else. He is just shy so just help with her socializing as much as you can. If you can take her to puppy meet ups so she can play with other puppies that may help. |

She darling! have you tried a clock that ticks or a timer? they sometimes help! |
I had a similar experience today except I didnt stop to ask because I was so mad. Some people are so low, it makes me sick to my stomach. Im so glad you are finding her a good home and that you saved her from the clutches of someone who might not have given her a good life. If only there was a way to do that and not give the dumb lady money. It only fuels the vicious cycle of disgusting people praying on the morals of kind souls like yourself. |
Feeding the puppy Doritos?!  That's really kind of you. If I were in the same situation, no doubt I would do the same to save the puppy. She's such a darling :) |
She is just so stinking cute! I am glad you got her and not someone that doesn't have a clue. My husband and I was just talking about people selling pups to early this morning. I seen an ad in my area for pups ready to go this week and they are only 3 days older than mine. My pups will be 6 weeks and I just can't believe someone would sell them for quick cash. They are just not ready at all. They still nurse some and are not eating dry kibble yet. I am going to worry myself silly even after they are 12 weeks. |
You are an angel for doing this. She is a little cutie pie! When we first got Hot Rod, I read that you can try to put a clock that ticks close by as it sounds like mommas heartbeat. I tried it and don't know if it helped or not, but it certainly didn't hurt. :) Also, they have those "perfect pets" that you might try. It is a stuff toy dog that mimics a sleeping dog breathing. Maybe this will give the puppy some comfort to snuggle next to it and curl up with it.? Best of luck. :) |
