| Someone had a eye on my baby (tryed to still him) So we put my baby yogi out side to do his business. When my boyfriend walked outside he seen a truck reversing slowly to the corner of are yard. some one got out ( of course yogi being such a nice dog went right up ageist the fence to say hi) my boyfriend went around the corner and the guy hurryed up and got in his truck and took off. I am no so scared for my baby to go to the bathroom alone he could of been stolen if my boyfriend didn't go outside when he did. How can people just go to peoples yards and take other peoples dogs? Its so wrong! so now i will be sitting outside with him till he finishes his thing. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | OMG this recently happened in another town in my state! Somebody stole this families' yorkie and she even witnessed it. A white truck was driving away with it. It's so sad. I sometimes worry about my own yorkies getting stolen from my own house!

| Yorkies are being taken left and right. Never, never let your yorkie go out alone, don't take your eyes off of him.

| I learned the hard way. Even if you feel you live in a super safe neighborhood the way I felt. I am still very traumatized and even when I take them outside and stand there , I am right in the middle of the yard with them. I dont even sit at the porch area. If this happened once to you PLEASE dont ever let him out alone again. Now I put collars on all them when I take them to the backyard. Gen |

| Wow! I had never heard of people taking Yorkies before today, that's just so evil and I agree it's akin to kidnapping Are they taking puppies/teacups or any dog they can lay hands on? I live in NYC and have been a bit cavalier at the coffee shop nearby, I used to leave BB outside whilst I went in (there is a big glass front and I do watch him) but I won't anymore - I'll take his bag and he can come in with me!! I would be so lost without Barney Boo, my sincere sympathy to the victims of this heartless crime, I pray that your babies are returned safely and soon. Joules and Barney (BB) |

Yorkies are the number 2 breed, the cost of purchasing a good quality yorkie is not cheap. This is the Christmas Season, yorkies are being stolen to give as Christmas gifts. However, yorkies since achieving this popularity are a $$$ commodity....being stolen by drug addicts for exchange or to sell for the drugs.....Yep! they are breaking and entering peoples homes too. Oops! Sorry, saw this was your first post, so welcome to YT

| OMG my biggest fear! I'm so glad they didn't take your baby! I have had people ask me how much I paid for my Rio, and I never tell them the truth. I say she was free from a relative. Some people just automatically see dollar signs when they see a Yorkie. |

| I don't think telling them you got Rio for free will deter someone that is really interested in taking her.....it doesn't matte to them, they will take and turn around and sell.

| Its really sad that this world has come to people stealing dogs it makes me sick to my stomach and I wish the police would see it as more of a big deal. Dogs are people's family and babies and in my opinion its like kidnapping. I hope that sense Callie has floppy ears and is a teapot that she less desirable to thieves.

| Not only can they be stolen.... but they can be swooped up by hawks, eagles, and owls in the blink of an eye! This happens ALLLL THE TIME! Yorkies are very small... even the larger ones can be grabbed by large birds for dinner. Dont ever let your dog out alone!
