![]() once, If we are luckey enough to get in a bow, can we leave it up. I take mine out that night, but can it be left up longer or is this bad for their hair? Thanks Sharon

| ![]() I wouldn't leave a bow in at night because they can start scratching it and trying to take it out -- breaking the hair. But I leave the bands in 24/7 to keep the hair out of the eyes. Just comb it out everyday and make sure it is not too tight.

![]() that poor dog. I don't even to that to my hair. i put in a pony tail in front of the ears, then put in the bow, then put another band with the first ponytail and a bit more hair from the back to hold the pony tail down. ![]()

![]() The best way to do a topknot or any grooming is up on a grooming table (a folded towel on a washing machine makes a great one). He will behave much better this way. Then gradually get him used to having his head worked on, giving him lots of praise and pieces of treats as you go. When he's had enough, put him down and end on a positive note. It's best to start with just a little band to get him used to the feel of a topknot before adding the weight of a bow. This is a great topknot tutorial: Topknots shared by Linda Grimm and Maria Lelinho starring Rocky! Many Thanks!

![]() Cute! I will have to try that on Rio next time I do her hair. The youtube video was pretty intense - don't know that I would subject my furbaby to that much pulling and primping...
