| Incredible hearing! You might find this hard to believe, but I have tested this again and again! My Zena can hear me putting on my socks and comes running to play! When she was a puppy I used to play with her in my stocking feet, they were soft white athletic sox and I would wrestle with her with my feet before putting on my shoes. She just loved it. This has been going on for almost a year now. I noticed a month or so ago that she comes running into my room almost everytime I'm putting on my socks. How does she know I am putting them on? Obviously she can hear me putting them on, even from our front room! Before I can get the first sock on she runs into the room ready to wrestle with my feet. Amazing! I've tried to be quiet, slipping the socks on rather slowly but she still comes running in. I've had the TV and radio on and she still comes running in before I get the first sock on! It is truly amazing that she can hear such a subltle sound from so far away and to recognize it for what it is. The DW did not believe me until I demonstrated it for her one day. Anyone else notice how good their dog's hearing really is? ~CD |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I'd say she has excellent hearing or psychic powers? lol I've sure noticed a big difference in Roxy's hearing compared to the hearing of all of the big dogs we've had in the past. It's quite amazing. I sure wish my hearing was that good. That way maybe I could figure out what's got her on the alert.

| We are always amazed that Daisy knows there is a cat way across the street in the neighbor's yard. She will growl and go crazy and we look out the window--sure enough, a cat sitting quietly in the front yard across the street!

| Maybe you are putting your socks on at about the same time everyday? But I do believe you are right. At my shop, if I go out and do some errands (my bf is still there) as soon as I pull up into my parking spot when I come back, who's big giant ears do I see through the glass in the door? Yup, Uni. Everytime she comes right up to the door as soon as I pull up. I guess she knows the sound of my rickey hooptee.
