| I am so sorry for your loss. I had a litter years ago and the runt had a cleft palate. It was so sad I hand feed it but after two weeks it to died. I think I still have pictures of it. I will look for them and post them. |

| I have returned to Yorkie Talk as Kay Deem. I had previously posted as k. deem, but can't remember my password. I still have Hoss the litter mate to Little Joe, who had the cleft pallet. Hoss, his mother Meggie, his youngest sister, Wrigley and Teddy who joined us as an adoptee 3 years ago are our constant pleasure. Hoss especially is the most precocious pup I have ever owned and I have had 7 total adult yorkies. I can now tell all of you who posted to me during that difficult time, thank you very much. |

| I'm so sorry to hear you lost a puppy! You still have a healthy one though, yes? That's good at least - you'll be able to spend lots of time getting that one ready for a new home eventually. I've never bred, but I've done lots of research (I considered breeding)...you'll never be able to save them all, and you will probably lose more puppies in the future if you continue to breed. It sounds like this puppy was VERY sick, and it was probably just a matter of time. You sound like you were VERY persistent though, and for that I applaud your efforts. I wish you the best of luck, and success with any future litters you have.
