| new yorkie owner Hello i recently recieved 2 akc yorkies a male and a female ( iwanted just one yorkie for xmas but got 2) lol anyways i previously breed dobermans but always wanted a yorkie so i purchased this very cute couple she is 5.3 lbs he is 4 lbs 2 oz. She is now in heat and she has recieved him and been stuck at least 2 times. Now i want to make sure for all there sakes im know what im doing and how to be prepared shes had 2 liters all ready from the same sire but i want to make sure i know the warning sighns adn all the above and if its a lot different than dobies besides just the size... any advice and tips would be greatly appreciated...thank you |

| Welcome to YT. If you post his in the breeder's section, they may be able to help. Yes, breeding Yorkies is way different than breeding larger dogs. The c-section rate is higher than other breeds. Since they are tiny, they can go down hill very quickly. Have these Yorkies been bile acids tested, had blood panels, knees and hips checked, etc.?
