| To be or not to be...home alone? I am out of town and my boyfriend is staying a my place to watch Winston. I work from home so he is use to me being there all day with him. My boyfriend works from 7:00am-4:00pm and has to leave Winston at home while he's gone. Today was the first day he was on this schedule and I was so worried that I had a friend stop by to take him out in the middle of the day. Am I being a crazy mom? Should he be ok by himself for 8-9 hours? Most people are gone during the day - right?? He is almost one yrs old and has been crate trained but as of late I keep him out of the crate when I'm gone and he's been really good. I guess I'm torn because I am not sure if I should continue to have my friend stop by this week while Winston is on this new schedule or just trust that he'll be ok...ugh |

| Mine are fine for 8-9 hours but only because they are wee wee pad trained and have access to them when I am gone... they would not be able to hold it for that long. |

| If you could have your friend take him for a long walk or a game of chase in the house or yard, he would be tired and probably sleep most of the time. It also helps to leave the radio or TV on as if you were home.

| Where he is used to you being there and being able to go out when he needs to, I think having the friend stop by in the middle of the day is a great idea if she can keep that up. I don't like to let mine go for much more than 4-5 hours at a time without a break. |
