Dry, non itching, flakey skin. OK so here's what's going on with Tigger. about a month ago, while I was brushing him I noticed he had dry skin and talked to my vet about it, he then perscribed some pills that was suppose to clear it up. It worked for a while but then today I noticed it again. When I bathe him, I make sure to rinse out the shampoo completly and I don't use conditioner. Could that be one problem or does anyone else have any other suggestions? any advice would be great. I was thinking maybe a food allergy, or maybe the fact that I haven't tried conditioner yet. He'll be four months old on the eleventh. Thank you everyone.

My vet gave me some Derm Caps for Riley, he had dry skin but no flaking or anything like that. Since I started using them he's not scratching anymore and his coat is nice and shiny.

My vet suggested I use an "extra emolliant" shampoo that I purchased at the vet's office. You suds it up and leave it on for ten minutes and then rinse off completely. It worked very well.
