8 months old... No heat? Is it normal for a yorkie like Penny who is over 8 months of age and weighs 3.3lbs to no have started estrus? Are there any tests the vet can do to determine when she will go into heat? Thanks

She is about 3 pounds. I am not sure if weight has any thing to do with when they go into heat.

My Sugar is 10 months and 6 days old, she's around 2.2lbs now. I've read somewhere it's normal if it starts after 8 months old to 22 months old, so...let's not to worry about this!

Zoe didn't have her first heat until she was a little over 10 months and I know that's pretty normal. I don't think you need to worry yet....
