I'm sorry you had this experience but Lexi looks absolutely adorable! I've been grooming mine for awhile now. I learn each time I do it. The way I figure it, "it will grow back!" lol |
Your little princess is gorgeous. Don't be afraid, get yourself a nice clipper and go for it. At least you will listen to yourself. I groom all mine myself and yes, I did make a couple of mistakes in the beginning but they still love me. :D |
She's ADORABLE...love,love love the outfit! I have similair issues with the hairdresser who does my hair (not the belly part though:p |

She is adorable, but I also don't understand why they would shave her nose! That is such a hard part to grow back and I'm always so happy when my puppies grow their coats long enough that the hair around their eyes and nose isn't sticking up everywhere! I have a wonderful groomer who comes to my house to help me out and she only does exactly what I want and has since Kalina was a baby! As for the matts, I have found a wonderful product and for the first time in my Yorkie life we are pretty much matt-free. It's the olive oil spray that you can find in the ethnic hair section. You can spray it on wet or dry and it really works - it's like a miracle. My breeder told me about it and she heard about it from a well-known breeder. I love this stuff. It does make them look a little greasy, but it works!! It's really wonderful right now on 18 week old adolescent puppies! :) |
ok I can't get past gorgeous to complain |

I know you must be furious but take a look at that picture of her? She is GORGEOUS, a doll! Where did you get that dress? She looks beautiful honestly,The only thing that gets me angry is when that shaved area in the nose starts growing and it wont stay down. Gen |
never been to groomers 3 Attachment(s) OK so I'm a little over protective. But Woody is so small and I'm afraid something could happen to him at a groomer. they are not liscenced and who know what they are doing to dogs!!! When he was a little baby I waited until he took a puppy nap, then started with the grooming. He would sleep thru everything. But now that he is grown up it's not as simple. Even though I'm a huge fan of the traditional long hair yorkie cuts, I like to cut his hair really short every couple months and change it up. I like to give him unique cuts that WOW people. He acts different when his hair is short, he thinks he's BAD. lol here are a couple pics, from when he was a puppy to some different cuts he has had. I wash him and blow dry him, and do his ears and nails, and clean his face (daily) The current cut is mustache & eyebrows, like an old man. |

the bell bottom cut thanks! a couple months ago i saw this girl yorkie with bell bottoms!!! the third pic is the current cut. he's a nughty lil"boy with this hair cut! |
She is a total doll! what a cutie! But I know what you mean!!! I started grooming my own a couple years ago but I see yorkies all the time that are taken to the groomers and ALL of them have shaved noses:confused: WHY do groomers feel the need to do that? I personally don't care for that. I grow all of mine out...but thye are tend to do it for some reason. And to not listen to you...thats just not acceptable. But boy, she is cute as a button!!!! :) Quote:
