| Dixie and her Mommy :-) Update: I Just hope I am in the correct forum. I simply could not remember if I posted previously on the general boards or here at "MY YORKIE'. Whatever the case, the likelihood is good that some of you will recognize me even after the long hiatus. I went in for serious lung surgery on Sept 14th and if you all remember was having some major problems with my little adorable Yorkie, Dixie Cup for a few weeks prior to this date. I was EXTREMELY worried about her since I knew I had to have this surgery and did NOT want to kennel her--esp. with this horrid virus going around that is killing dogs. Aside from this, I wanted her in her own home so that my absence would not "throw" her completely. She, for seemingly no reason a human could come up with, began to get aggressive, vicious and dangerous at times. If you all remember, I took Dixie to a chiro who discovered that she had a twisted sternum and a pinched nerve from being dropped by a neighbor's drunk husband. Fast forward to now. I have been home for two weeks and am doing well. My lung tumor was benign (a mini miracle according to the surgeon since I am fairly recently out of treatment for throat cancer)so this was great. Thank God for this wonderful, wonderful housekeeper I employ on occasion who stayed here 24/7 so that Dixie would have care and remained her for another 10 days to help me out. OMG, she was god sent and like the commercial--PRICELESS. Dixie and I are both doing fine and Dixie is returning to the chiro on the 13th. She had one episode of that awful and dsgusting growling and viciousness since I have been home and I am now convinced that the maniacal ball playing she engages in (interactive with me) is either hurting her neck OR revving her up beyond a point from which she can return. She is a resource guarder to beging with (not good) and I have to be very, very careful of the things I give her. At any rate, we are both getting back in the groove now and she has calmed down tremendously since I have limited her ball playing drastically. Ok, good to be back and hope to start returning here more often now. Be well, all of you, Susan and Dixie Cup |

| Thank you for letting us know you and Dixie are both better. It is wonderful to hear. And I'm so glad you have a housekeeper who is so good to stay with your little girl and to help you out. Not everyone is so lucky. |
