| Satch is home !!!!! I picked up Satch yesterday,we were to meet the breeder at the Cracker Barrel on the south side of Louisville,Ky. at 10:30 am.We got there at about 10 (not over anxious was I,lol ) sat down in a rocker and waited, the longer I waited the faster I rocked with my head turning from side to side looking for a lady carrying a puppy. All at once there she was and this 8 week old little ball of fur weighing 2lb 3oz with the most beautiful face in the world was looking right at me!!! I don't think a second passed before I realized that I belonged to this little guy and we would be spending our lives together, love was total and complete with the first locking of our eyes. The ride home was no problem at all,we stopped at a couple rest areas and Satch pee peed both times. When we got home he ate some food and played with his new toys.At bed time I got all ready put him in his sleeping crate and shut off the light. WRONG!!!!! Not good at all,he cried so hard I gave in.Since I have my own bedroom and the door was closed I put down a pee pad,set out his water ,food and toys .Put him in bed with me for awhile and when he wanted to explore I put him on the floor and shut out the light.I woke up a couple times during the night and we checked each other to see that all was ok then went back to sleep. This morning I discovered he has used the pad twice to pee pee on and once to poop on !!! Thanks to all of you for the great advice you have given me and believe me I will be asking plenty more, right now I have to take Satch out for a quick break ;o)

| Yep! You're wrapped around Satch's little paw already! It's so nice he did well in the transition to his new forever home. It makes me happy when I read how very much someone loves their little bundle of joy! They deserve it!

Ceeby and i were the same way. I caved the first night also. I couldn't stand to hear him crying in his playpen so I took him to my bed. He now has a corner of the living room for his bed and all his stuff. we are not doing great on the pee pad training tho. Supposedly he was using it when i got him. Well, actually I saw him use it at the breeders. but we are struggling here. Hurry and post pictures. |

| Congratulations! Sounds like things are getting off to a great start. He did really good using the pee pad. Give him a big hug and kiss for being such a good boy. Little-Bit, Meggie, Tori, Cassie, & Roscoe's Mom |
