No Longer a Member | my 2.3 pound yorkie's nutrition and growth Hi I hope someone can inform me of yorkie growth and size My yorkies weighs only 2.3 pounds. We just got back from the vets They said she is just fine and I think so too. Her dad weighed 3.5 and her mom 5 pounds On our prior vet appointment the vet said my yorkie would weigh about 5 pounds at full growth. Now Im confused as she only weighs 2.3 pounds They told me today that she lost a little bit and is probably cause she is more active 1 month ago she weighed 2.9 My yorkie is so excited to see other people she appears hypper to them but as soon as everyone leaves she calms down and goes and lies down She is only 5 months old Does anyone know at what age do yorkies get to their mature weight? Also what food should I be feeding her? And if anyone has any good advice can you telll me where I can get this food? as I am very concerned about the nutrition of my baby yorkie |

How a yorkie grows is determined again, by lineage. Some will grow fast up front. Other's will grow slowly. But, most of the time by the time they are anywhere from 8 months to a year is when they will be what they will be, that is as far as size. What are you feeding your yorkie?

YT 2000 Club Member | The parents of my little Jasmine weighed 5 pounds but she only weighs 3 1/2. She will be a year old on Christmas eve. She stayed with the growth chart for quiet some time and then just stopped growing, but the vet says she is fit as a fiddle and has loads of energy. Yorkies are basically like a box of chocolates, you never know really what you are going to get. LOL But, they are all so very precious.....big, little, blue, blonde, gold.....whatever, they are darlings.
