| What would you do? I'm moving at the end of the year (again). I've been looking for apartments and everything and its very stressful. I think I found the right place, but they make you pay 500 pet deposit if the pup is under 2 yrs and its only 200 dollars if the pup is over 2 yrs. Capone is 1, should I tell the truth about his age? He's past most of his puppy behavior like chewing on baseboards and hes housebroken. I know its not ethical and I'm a horrible liar so I will probably pay the 500, but just wondered what you guys think or would do.

| If you're strapped for cash I would just tell them he's 2 especially if he's well behaved. It's not like they're going to ask for proof. |

| I would tell the truth, if he's good as you say, you'll get your deposit back, it will be like a little nest egg. "Thou shall not tell a lie".

| truth is best The truth is always best and it sounds like you would feel more comfortable with yourself telling the truth. I would talk to the landlord though and negotiate it. Ask for a reduction. I have rental property and people negotiate all of the time. They landlord is lucky to have someone who is honest. |

| 300 is such a big difference. She said I would get 400 back at the end of the lease if everything was ok. I guess I will just tell the truth and use it as a nest egg later on.
