I just bought Fergie a pair from Walmart yesterday for $8. I'm sure they won't hold up very long but they will do until after the holidays. It was hilarious to watch her try and walk in them at first!

Derby loves them. He prances around in them like a big shot LOL He does go up and down stairs slower though... but They stay on PERFECTLY.

Why don't you go to a store and get them sized? That's what we did.

I checked Derby's shoes and he is a size 3.

You guys have crap options for shoes I must say... LOL

I did however google Epiks dog shoes, and there are other retailers that sell them online. Maybe you could order from them? They do offer exchanges (i checked!) if you get the wrong size...(call first, don't put a new order in) Not sure if you'd rather go with them, or the actual website. There is a price difference, but ALL SITES HAVE EPIKS SIZING CHART!

Yikes! $65?! I ordered the ones from ebay for $39.99 plus $5 shipping! I got them today. I got size 2. Uni is between sizes, so I didn't want to squish her feet, so that's why I sized up. She did really well with them. They do tend to twist though, like rotate a bit. We had her running around the shop and one had turned all the way around, then she looked like a ballet dancer on pointe! I'll try to upload a vid later, it was hilarious. We only put on the back ones. We needed them to protect her nails, and she wore one down so bad it bled.

Like I said, prices vary depending on where you get them. We paid about $40 or 50 for ours.

In your case it sounds like I wouldn't have gone a size bigger.

Derby is supposedly between sizes too (3 and 4), but seriously, there is a bit of squish to get his paws in there (because of some hair and such too!), but then they fit like a glove! There is no movement whatsoever.

We had them fitted right in the store, and they told us to get the size 3.

I tried long and hard to find a good pair of booties. Finally, I found some that I liked. They are called Epiks. Missy wears a size 0, but she's only 1 3/4 lbs. so your baby would likely need a little bigger. They do have a size chart on their website though.

this baby is 1 1/2 pounds and wears a size 0!

I'm pretty sure paws are still small, and you guys can find one that FITS!

I don't think Missy's 1 3/4, that may be a typo. That's way tiny!

Anyway, I'll check with the seller if they can exch them for a size 1 then. I think they offer exchanges.

I would see if you could exchange, but they are worn right? Maybe not.

When in doubt, snug is better than big! and you'd know if they were too-too small.

Well she wore them around the shop for a few mins, they are fine for exchanging. I always wear my shoes on the big side, so I guess that's why I sized up. I emailed them already, so let's see what they say.

Ya me too! LOL! but the guy sizing Derby told us differently..

and honestly, the transition from regular paws to dog shoes? not even 5 minutes. I think if you exchange the size, your dog will be much happier! Mine prances around like a hot shot LOL

I think you are right. the shoe that kept spinning around she kept hiking up. But after a few laps around the shop with some yummy treats she did good. Yes it was about 5 mins. I have a vid, but it's kind of dark. I'll try to post it tomorrow. Beyond funny. She even did her trademark "jump and spins". At first she did not want to move one inch!

Yay! Great minds think alike! Uni's official color is orange, but sadly no orange. Red is second choice, but they looked funky with red with black trim, so I got black with red trim! Me myself, everything is black. Now that I think about it, you said Derby is 10 lbs? Uni is only 5.5, so she wouldn't be only one size down. If it weren't for your input, I would have just kept the 2s. thanks!
