| Dressing your Yorkie This is for anyone who dresses their furbutts on a cold day: Keira's coat barely tangles. However, when I put a sweater or jacket on her on cold days (and in Canada, there have been a lot of them lately), she gets serious tangles/borderline mats around the edges. Is there anything I can do to avoid this? With a little detangler and patience they come out, but neither of us is having an exceptionally fun time. I'm really considering getting her a puppy cut next time at the groomer to make it a little bit easier. Plus her silver coat is starting to come in so I'd like to see what's under all this dark stuff lol. I thought her coat looked really cute short too. She's just a little girl so I don't want to leave her face long if I do. When she has a sweater on, she totally looks like a lollipop haha. Does anyone have their furbutt in a puppy cut with a shorter face? I'm having a hard time finding pictures of puppy cuts without full faces. Thanks! |

| Kayti's does this too.We can only put coats and sweaters on her that have a silky lining. Now if I am taking it right on and off it is no big deal but anthing longer than a hour a matted mess!I am betting that Khloe the baby is going to do the same thing too once she gets her silverish coat in too.

| I have Sophie in a Teddy Bear cut in this photo that is different than a puppy cut. Her hair doesn't stick to her jacket even though it has valcro closures.

| I keep Callies hair short but her hair only ever matted when she had puppy hair but I like the face short like this all the time because her beard gets really messy if its to long plus she wears clothes a lot and loves to be outside so I keep it short.

| I think most Yorkies get those fuzzies and mats after wearing clothes or harness. I love my Razaels long hair and it's so easy to care for since she isn't a cotton coat. Before I let her wear harnesses or sweaters, I use the Pet Silk Liquid Silk on the areas that she would tangle. It's not greasy and really helps with this problem, and makes the coat easier to brush out after wearing clothes or harness.
