| How Long Did It Take... Before your yorkie got used to/liked his or her bed? I ask because Galahads Armarkat bed came in this morning. It's very soft and fluffy, comfy, but he won't lay in it. I put it under my desk, which is his favorite place to sleep (at my feet), and I put his stuffed toys in it. He just lays down on the floor beside it. If I pick him up and put him into the bed, he looks at me like I'm punishing him for something, with the big sad eyes. So I was wondering how long it might take for him to get to like this bed, lol.

| I don't know how long it may take because Sophie always liked hers but is it small enough so you could put it on your lap and pet him in it while you're sitting down watching TV or reading? Maybe once he is relaxed in it and has his scent on it he will "claim" it as his. Just a thought

Donating YT 500 Club Member | It took Roxy awhile to like her bed. She uses it sometimes now, but if she can get some of DHs pillow, she much prefers that. Sometimes she even gives DH a small corner of his own pillow. lol!

| The bed is only for during the day, when I'm at the computer or off cleaning something. If I'm on the couch, he usually is too, and he sleeps in bed with us all night, snuggled up against my stomach. I'm going to give the holding it on my lap while petting him thing a go, thanks.

| Yeah-Sophie sleeps in our bed too. She only uses her bed now for her little naps. Here she is in her bed that stays in her "doggie den" in the living room. (Why does that happen, arrrrggg????)

| Maybe you should explain to Sir Galahadd that you bought a THRONE for him & that all the fellows with his great looks & social standing have one. THAT ought to make it more attractive to him.

| I hadn't gotten around to it, I'd been running after my youngest daughter all day long. I think what made him decide to lay in it was one of the cats, Gabriel, snuggling up in it, haha.

| When we first go Callie she would stay in a crate until she was potty trained and everynight we would give her a treat to get into her bed, we would say go to bed and give her a treat that she would only get to go to bed so when we got ride of the crate and went to a "big girl bed" she knew what go to bed means and would go to bed now of course she has a "big girl bed" as well as a softsided dog house which she prefers because its warmer and tha fan dosent blow on her so she goes into bed gets her treat and goes to bed. But if your just talking about like other times not at bed time I would let him decided to go on the bed when he wants to or give him a little treat to go on the bed or when you set him on the bed give him a treat and tell him how good he is.
