| biting at air For the past week, Benji has been biting at the air.. occasionally theres a fly flying around.. but usually theres nothing there. Does anyone else's yorkie do this? And is there a reason for biting at the air when theres nothing there?

| OMG someone else that has a dog that does this!! My Lhasa has done this for nearly 8 years. It started when we moved into another house. When she was younger she would literally do back flips off the bed jumping up and snaping at the air. And like you said sometimes there is a fly there, but she does it even when it's just air. The lady that grooms our dogs said the only thing she can think of is maybe she had some type of mini stroke or other health related issue that causes her to do that. So I guess I really don't have an answer for your question other than my dog is crazy too, lol. If anyone else knows why they do this I would really like to know myself. |

| Chewy started doing this...I later realized what it was... Every third time or so, I would watch him...bitey, bitey bitey....then...SNEEEEEEZE!!!!!!! He would do that and then sneeze so hard that he litterally flew up into the air and backwards. It was so funny. Maybe your dogs feel a sneeze coming on, and then supress it? |
