I've taken Maddie to the groomers before, but just for a "sanitary cut" and bath, never for a hair cut. Well, I decided to take the plung and get her "trimmed". Her hair is about 3-4 inches and I asked for the to take about an inch off. I made it VERY clear NOT TO TOUCH HER TOP KNOT! but I am so nervous. I have heard horror grooming stoires on here...I get her around 2pm. Hope it turns out ok!!

I feel your pain. I was the same way when I took Li in for her first haircut. But, it turned out great. I was very specific in what I wanted and I brought in pictures. Try not to worry too much (even though I know it's hard!). And remember, it's only hair. If you don't like the cut, it will always grow back!

By the way, I never leave Sugar with the groomer, I always stay until everything's done, although I might need to stand in the saloon for 2 or 3 hours..because, there was a time the idiot groomer treated Sugar badly, Sugar was all frightened and I'm glad I was there to witness all these. Since then I never engage with that groomer again.

I also choose not to leave Couver at the groomer's alone... I do not trust anyone with my baby, so I don't care if I have to watch him for 3 hours, I will wait patiently... knowing he is not being harmed.

Too many horror stories on here...

I get her in 2 hours! I don't like leaving her there by herself either. I thought about asking to stay with her when she was there just to make sure that they are treating her ok, but didn't know if I could.

Wish i would have just let her hair grow like I originally planned. When I pulled up my computer a picture of her is on desktop wallpaper and I cried a little...At least she still has the pony..It will grow back...I think it will just take some getting used to. I am used to a big fluff ball...

Ohhh, no crying allowed or I will be crying with you (hate to let anyone cry alone). Besides, She is Beautiful, Precious, and just Adorable - no worries. ((huggs))

I love it!! But maybe I'm biased because I prefer the shorter 'dos! I think she looks cuter (not that she didn't look cuter before!!)

Maddie gorgeous, she's one of those dogs that will look great no matter what her haircut. How old is she, her forhead/topknot hair looks perfect! Change is always hard, but she looks wonderful!
