| Wanted to say hi I am new I have been a member for a few months now. I have had a pretty bad year. I had to put my male sheltie Laddie to Sleep in Jan and then my female sheltie Lassie was put down in may. So I decided it was time to try a different breed of dog. Although I really miss my shelties I am so glad I chose Yorkies. They are such a delight also they are wild little dogs.I actually think they have much more personality then my shelties did. Plus it is soooo cool to beable to dress them up!! I have two little boys Rascal & Riley. Rascal is 7 months and Riley is 10 months .We are waiting for our female Rosie. She will be coming home Dec. 4th . We are very excited for her to come home she is 7 weeks old right now.I have seen her 4 times so far.I just posted Rascal and Rileys Fall pic It took alot of time to get the right pic of them as they don't sit still very well I like setting up displays and putting the puppies in them and try to get great pic. Will be posting a pic of rosie soon. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone Chrissy |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Hi, welcome to Yorkietalk! I'm so sorry you had to PTS two dogs in such a short time, I'm glad you decided to bring another pet in your life, after losing one, it can be so difficult to commit to another. I agree with you, Yorkies do have so much personality, and they aren't as eager to please as other breeds I've had. Other dogs, when I called them, would always come running, Joey kind of meanders in, and "decides" if he wants to come up to me or not. So training is more of a challenge with Yorkies, because they aren't as centered on pleasing the master, but it's also very rewarding, because they seem proud of themselves when they’ve mastered a new skill. I love the names you have chosen, Rascal and Riley, and they are both adorable, and can't believe your getting another one so soon, I guess you'll have the three "R's." Rascal, Riley, and Rosie! Yorkietalk is a perfect place to display your picture taking talents!

| Miss Rosie Thank you for your kind words! I sure do miss my laddie and lassie I still cry for them but my new babies are helping me through it.Nancy I definitly agree with everything you said. Well this is Miss Rosie at 7 weeks I think she was. I try to go out and get pic every sunday Rosies mama is a 7 pound Yorkie she has amber color eyes and very beautiful. Her name is Maggie and she was in the news paper Altoona Mirror. She had nine puppies and all are doing very well. They think it is a record for that many puppies from a yorkie. I have no idea I am just glad she was in the paper this is how we found our Rosie very excited to get her home to the boys! |

| OMG Your babies are so beautiful! Congratulations on them and Welcome to YT!!! I'm so sorry to hear about your Laddie and Lassie (beautiful names by the way) I had to put my dobbie girl down a little over a year ago and it was the worst day of my life. To see a dobbie today still kills me. My vet's staff is well aware of this and we don't have many dobbies here so when I had Bijou in last a young couple came in with a young pup and it about broke my heart. It was very hard not to cry like a baby when I seen him. So, I feel your pain. I hope you're loving YT. DH tells me I'm addicted to it...I have to admit I'm looking at a new cellphone so I can YT more often ) PS: were in PA are you? I grew up in Ford City (45 minutes from Pittsburgh...Go Steelers!!!)
